I have no credentials other than obsessively reading weather maps for two weeks before Glastonbury every year for 13 years.

It's like when theirs a big fight coming up ... Everyone becomes boxing experts haha but your detailed reports are great 👏👏👏

Ok, so now we get to the business end. Are we going to get another repeat with the low winning the battle?

Lets. Find. Out.

WEDNESDAY MORNING - GATES OPEN

Completely dry, and warm for 9am at 17 degrees.

HOW ABOUT THAT PESKY PRESSURE?

High pressure holds its own on Saturday through to Monday.

The comparison of the last two runs for Monday at 3pm is very similar now (latest run is on the left here).

Through into Tuesday into Wednesday morning, the low is doing its evil work. It's not looking promising.

This is truly unbelievable considering how bad it was looking. I had also some faith of some rain this weekend just for the fact that 4 dry weekends in a row? nah!

there is some rain not far away on saturday, would be surprised if none falls, but yeah not looking like the downpours previously forecast.

First two days then. Will it still be warm for the start?

WEDNESDAY

Warm (but cooler than previous runs) and dry, highs of 19.

THURSDAY

Warm and dry, with highs today of 22.

HOW IS THAT LOW PRESSURE GETTING ALONG?

It's starting to look threatening again.

Last two runs are very similar at this stage. Latest on the left.

There's definitely heart to be taken from the fact this weekend's rain which was forecasted to be biblical a few days ago has gone.

Same could quite feasibly happen with any rain forecasted for over a week's time...

It hasn’t gone, it’s just getting dumped on the west of Scotland at the moment!
