Post yah best gigs/sets of the year here people. Top 5/10/whatever the hell you feel like. 

Only managed about 15 gigs this year and no festivals which is pretty poor on my usual form, so opted for a top 5.

Gigs were relatively sparse for me, compared to a typical year so I'm gonna have to include festival sets, but here goes. Hopefully 2022 will have more to choose from, this time next year:

I've been lucky enough to go to several gigs this year and Latitude first weekend after restrictions were lifted. My highlights have been:

Wolf Alice, Bastille, Chemical Brothers, Supergrass, Rudimental, Declan Mckenna, Kaiser Chiefs, Shed Seven, The Vaccines and The Charlatans

Didn't do much, but Enter Shikari at the QMU in Glasgow would be around the top no matter how many I went to I imagine. Funeral for a Friend at Slam Dunk was just glorious as well. I only did Ash and Fozzy outside of that. Ash were really good and Fozzy were fine.

I was fortunate enough to squeeze a lot of gigs and festivals into the second half of the year. It actually turned out to be my most prolific year to date in terms of number of different acts.

I really didn't go to enough gigs to make a Top 5 and if I was trying for a Top 10 then I'm sure kids stuff like Funbox would make the list but my gig of the year out of the handful I did make it to was undoubtedly Marlowe @ The Mash House. A fantastic show.

I've seen the Chems over a dozen times since 96 but that Latitude show was unreal. With it being the first major festival since 2019, the buzz in the crowd was off the scale. Pure euphoria for 100 minutes

Mr Tumble at Butlin’s Just For Tots week at Bognor Regis.

That is literally the only live performance I’ve seen this year. I’ve had gigs cancelled and have had to cancel so many in the last 12 months for a variety of reasons.
