Reckoner
New Chvrches is great. Asking for a friend and Nightmare's the early favorites. I liked Love is Dead more than most, but it's a great return to form.

Tartan_Glasto
New Chvrches album is bangin! Defo feels like they are back on form after Love is Dead, which I did like but never lived up to the first two for me.
Quark
+1 for Chvrches. I'm another one that enjoyed Love Is Dead, but this feels like a step up. Definitely going to be getting some repeat spins.
Mouseboy11
The Halsey album is absolutely brilliant.
st dan
Just listened to Chvrches, Big Red Machine and Indigo De Souza one after another. Loved all of them and they’ll be definitely getting a lot of plays - I’d say it’s the best new release day of the year so far for me. SwedgeAntilles
Going against the grain here but was disappointed with CHVRCHES. Definitely an improvement on the last album but that's not saying much. Strongest points are the lyrics, some of Lauren's best work but the beats, man. Where's the beats? Violent Delights was the only time I felt they broke out of that monotony. Aside from that it all sounds a bit samey and, unforgivebly for a CHVRCHES album, a bit dull. (I suspect she won't be supporting them on their next tour!!)
Brownie30
+1 for Chvrches and Halsey. Big Red Machine is next on rotation but this has been a great start to today's releases.

st dan
The new Men I Trust album is sounding excellent too. Paging @Quark for this, but I’m sure you’re already onto it as it’s definitely in your wheelhouse!

On one hand it's a pretty damn good album, on the other it's OK but a little below par in comparison. TL;DR - stop being a miserable bugger Edited August 27, 2021 by Quark

Mattymooz
Damn, I would have lost a lot of money if I had bet in the tumblr girl sweepstake - who would have guessed that New Americana girl would be outdoing Lorde...
