Here are some handy album release calendars: Metacritic, Albumoftheyear, Genius Last years intro post of yours was great - oh how differently 2020 turned out. ” Will Frank Ocean release a decade-defining new album which is essentially an audio capture of him building a cuckoo clock? Will Grimes release an album which flops on Earth but is a hit in other galaxies? Will Royal Blood come back from the desert having found ‘the new sound’? Will Weezer totally embarrass themselves when we all thought they had no shame left? All to be revealed and more in... the 2020 New Music thread!”
Matt42
Will 2021 finally be the year Adele returns? Is there a part 3 to folklore and evermore? Will the potential lack of touring space mean less mainstream releases? Who will be the breakout artist of the summer? Lots to look forward to! nikkic
New one from Bicep late Jan, which I’ve high hopes for after all the singles released this year have been shit hot. Other than that LDR, Killers, St Vincent, Denzel Curry are all on the eagerly awaiting list. Hopeful of new Arcade Fire, The National and Kendrick too.
Crazyfool01
October Drift have album 2 in the pipeline and 10 social distance acoustic gigs too ... with the ability to switch them to standard if things improve ... fingers crossed
Gilgamesh69
Looking forward to the new St Vincent. Am very out of touch with new releases though. One thing I'm gonna try next year is actually listening to music when it comes out, rather than leaving it for ages and further adding to the backlog. Like I still haven't listened to Fetch the Bolt Cutters yet, nor even Ghosteen from last year
Mattymooz
Ive seen rumours for a new Lorde album in 2021 which has me pretty damn excited

kingcrawler
I'm hoping for new albums from Arcade Fire, Daughter, Queens of the Stone Age, Lorde, The War on Drugs, Florence and the Machine, Phoenix, Young Fathers and Father John Misty this year. It should be a pretty strong year for me if most of those acts do release albums along with the already announced ones @dentalplanlisted. Hugh Jass
Kendrick is the one I’m most to keen to hear in 2021.

vintagelaureate
There will be a new Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes album at some point this year. They've recorded the tracks already, they're just in the process of putting it together. Kid Kapichi's debut full length album is out the 5th February, looking forward to hearing that. Architects on 26th February too. I think Goat Girl are due the end of January, and for all the derision it will get the Foo Fighters new album in out the start of February. It'll be interesting to see what Shame do with their new release as they've kind of taken a step back and Fontaines DC have stepped up. The first couple of months of 2021 are pretty stacked. Ryan1984
Maximo Park in February, Kiwi Jr, Cheekface and The Dirty Nil in January. Wild Pink, TV Priest and Katy Kirby also out in the early months.

a6l6e6x
Architects is the main one I'm interested in. Really like the 2 singles they've put out from it Also You Me At Six have something out soon and I loved their last album

gigpusher
Already pre-ordered Slowthai, Shame and Django Django on vinyl. Here's hoping we have another great year of music because I suspect we'll be locked down for at least part of January.

Sounds like it's well on the way... https://variety.com/2020/music/news/war-on-drugs-live-album-adamgranduciel-1234836837/ The new Hold Steady album I am really keen for, and hoping that The Mysterines will release their debut album in 2020 too.
