I teared up when they figure out it's her and one sings make your dreams come true

Mrs BD once booked an Adele tribute singer to play my birthday in a tent in the garden.... A Sheffield (or possibly Leeds) lass and very good it has to be said...

anyway, she got changed in our bedroom and several hours (and several drinks) later Mrs BD forbade me from wearing her Adele outfit (which she had accidently left behind) to bed.... Good choice Mrs BD...

Highlight of the evening was when a local knocked on the door and asked "is that really Adele playing in your garden..??!!"

"Yep" Hic..🤪

So are we in agreement it’s either Adele or Beyoncé for set of the decade?

Sure Stones would get a lot of votes but those two are about as good as it gets IMO.

Good three to choose. I think I preferred Beyoncé as it was more upbeat & knew more songs but Adele certainly runs it close.

Got to be Rolling Stones though just for the fact they turned up.

Now that the hurt/heal game is over for another year I was actually thinking about doing some sort of “set of all time” vote.

The Cure 2019 for me. if you are looking at Pyramid headliners. I didnt see Adele, she is utterly ace but I saw her in Brum around the same time so didnt need to see her again so soon. And the Stones, because it's the Stones, and they nailed it. Beyonce's not my bag at all so cant comment.

Portishead 2013 is the set of the decade  if you are looking at all headliners in my opinion! Cant ever see it being beaten...

    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
    • Norwich times if anyone is interested
