”Hang on, I’m just calling Yougov”

Yougov polls are hilarious to read. Couldn’t be any further from the truth most of the time.

lol - every time a scot comments about England in a football context its almost always negative.  Why expect different in return ?

Because some folks are better than that.  🙂

did you head to twitter to learn some edgy words during your hour break ?

So controversial. I might have to go for a lie down and some gentle weeping to get over it.

Has anyone volunteered at a centre and had their second dose forward as a result? Does that happen?

It definitely still happens, depending on how many spare doses they have. It also depends on how long since your first dose (>4 weeks for Pfizer/Moderna and >6 weeks for AZ - though I suspect timescales can vary by site).

My last shift was just over a week ago and I was asked if I met those timescales as they had quite a few spare doses at the end of the day - I couldn't take it up as I'd actually just had my (scheduled) second dose a few days before.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
