If it's attempted to be brought in before everyone is offered one it won't just be in the house where there are problems for Johnson.

Big question is one dose or two. If its two that could explain why furlough was extended to September, as pubs wouldn't be close to full capacity til then.

What else would it be checked for? Public transport? Shops? Workplaces?

 All just a threat to make people who have very little risk not having a vaccine take the vaccine.

Isn’t the point that the more people that have it it means the more those that can’t have it and the ones that it doesn’t work for are more protected ... that’s the reason it’s rolled out right the way down the age categorisation !!

Numbers were always going to decrease as you went down the age groups if I was 18 I wouldn't touch the vaccine - covid is of such little risk to me compared to a jab that's a relative unknown. All of this is just bullying people into having a vaccine that's only got emergency approval. There is no way in this earth people would be so receptive to this shit if it wasn't after 12 months of lockdown and that desperation to see restrictions lifted is being exploited by people in power - for what means who knows. 

If you can't go to the pub due to the safety of others I assume you can't for to the shop, or use the tube or a bus or get your haircut as you pose such a risk to others - what about kids who there are still no plans to vaccinate they not allowed to go out for their tea without negative tests etc... Or are we not actually bothered they might spread it?

Saying vaccinated grandparents can't hug their grandchildren after two jabs isn't exactly irrational - it will have a small effect on transmission - but it's not reasonable.

Human contact is what human beings need. It's reasonable to start to resume life when you have a life saving, (strongly) transmission reducing vaccine in you. Especially if the generation in between is in good health.

Apologies if already covered but isn't half the conversation around grand parents and hugs about having one simple clear message for people.

Start introducing caveats around 2 doses etc and you've no longer got your 10 second sound bite they show on the news so people say it's confusing and then just go and do it even if they haven't been vaccinated.

 

Anyway I'm pretty content with how everything is progressing ATM! Timeline looks good and school opening not too much of an impact.

My mam and dad, and both my in laws had their first dose of Pfizer last week...second dose booked in for 4 weeks time. Two weeks after that it’s my daughter’s 6th birthday (their only grandchild on either side)...they’re gettin’ a hug.
