I can’t find it now but I actually think that’s true. I also don’t think NHS capacity is particularly great either, which is why Sturgeon has jumped today.

It’s absolutely true. Life expectancy in some areas of Glasgow is on par with Baghdad.

Yeah again Keir Starmer does come across as weak opposition, especially when there is no PMQs. Because he is always great at PMQs.

But now I just find myself wondering, why is Labour almost as silent as the Tories they are opposing. This situation could have been a prime moment to increase labour messaging, Show the public exactly how the tories have got this wrong.

But it's almost as if if it can't be done the fair formal way. Keir is scared to criticize the government. I think that is in part due to Boris Johnson's constant nicknames and terrible pmq comebacks, I think Keir thinks that the way to win the public opinion is to try and act on tiptoes around certain issues so that boris johnson cant create a smear campaign.

But the problem is Boris Johnson, will smear Keir Starmer no matter what, even if he resorts to lying or inaccurate nicknames like "Captain Hindsight" Cause thats what Tories do, they play dirty. But labour needs to not try and bend to their rules which Keir seems to be doing in an attempt to win Tory voters.

The thing is a lot of Tory voters would probably prefer someone taking the government to task at every corner not just at PMQs as most dont watch that.

I think Keir is okay, but he is so seethrough and often comes across as really fake. Like he is leagues better than Boris Johnson, but that doesn't mean he is a good leader.

This could all change but right now, especially wihtout parliament Labour just look a bit quiet

I live in Glasgow. I didn’t grow up in a particularly nice part of Manchester (I knew Dale Cretan-lived two streets away). I spent part of my Uni life on a housing estate in Nottingham that had Armed Police patrols and where a baby was stabbed outside my local Coop.

And even then, the first time I went into the East End of Glasgow was an eye opener to say the least.

You might find this interesting as they discuss that topic:

I do think he needs to change his strategy team/approach, this "wait until you know Boris is going to do something, then demand he do it before he does" strategy is so transparent, it's embarrassing. Wish he'd just be more principled, rather than doing dodgy tactics.

To be fair, the government has only had 9 months to avoid this. Instead they planned a 5 day Christmas household mixing bonanza.

Remember the letter from PHE in the summer wanting the government about this, the one that Johnson hadn’t even read? Well they should’ve acted on that now.

Ha, that was my favourite episode of a great series (is it well known? Never seemed to do as well as it should have!)

'It had a brief run in Peru'.

Nah, it's a cult thing. I only caught it years later when a mate gave me the DVD!
