Bisque
I’m a extremely poor sleeper, often struggling to get an hour, if that, a night for days sometimes. I normally feel fine at Glastonbury what with alcohol consumption, tiredness from walking & dancing, finding my tent etc. & I’ve been extremely fortunate not to have anything like a hangover like I would if I had the same alcohol consumption at home. My question 1: Do any of you take meds with you to help sleep whether drinking or not? My question 2: Do you have any other techniques other than meds to help? My question 3: Should I have posted this in the questions topics now I think about it? I’m thinking of having a quiet night one evening so as to possibly drive & pick someone up the next day but concerned noise & the vibe of being at Glasto keeping me awake all night might impair my driving ability. Edit: I know this could be a sensitive subject. Edited January 9, 2020 by Bisque
ian the worm
I work nights, don’t drink, love coffee and have FOMO. Hence I don’t get much sleep till my forth or fifth night there. It really matters but intend to cope as it’s only for a week or so.
Mezhyp1
Took earplugs and an eye mask last year for the first time, and it worked quite well despite boiling half to death by 10am each morning
Slugworth
I usually drink a pint of water with berroca before i sleep. Usually does the trick.
stuartbert two hats
I take as much bedding as I can to keep comfortable, and I use a blackout tent, as discussed (in considerable depth!) in this thread. I avoid all caffeine and take an audiobook.

Joeyjarmangtf
Plus one for the blackout tent. Last year I took a couple of packs disposable ear plugs, they don’t drown out the sound completely but they did the trick, it was mainly for the morning when Oxlyers is pounded by the sound tech for the Other Stage! Good luck!
doogie
I'm also a lousy sleeper at the best of times. At Glasto I use non-prescription sleeping pills, wax earplugs, aspirin, a blackout tent and an eye mask. That usually gets me 5 or 6 hours of sleep each night which is plenty 🙂
Yoghurt on a Stick
Sleeping at Glastonbury? Is that a thing nowadays? How quaint. 5
Bisque
I take an eye mask & ear plugs but rarely, if ever, have used them. I’m considering buying some Calms or something similar but they haven’t really helped in the past.

MetaKate
Im a deep sleeper. It's a blessing but man I get cranky if I dont feel rested. I've never gone to sleep before 6am at Glasto except on the Wednesday. I think the exhaustion of that day knocks me out easily, but I always use ear plugs and an eye mask. This year was brutal being woken up by the heat around 10am so I'm investing in a fresh and black this year. Melatonin does the trick also but I'd recommend giving it a try before the festival. H.M.V
Sleepeze are over the counter in boots and I found them to be non groggy when you wake up. I really struggle to sleep as well. As Kate said melatonin can work as well. Didn't help with my sleep cycle but did make me drowzy. I think I sleep alright at Glastonbury due to the mileage covered as well though. Bryanrebe
I'll be getting some prescription sleeping pills for my flights from NZ to London. They usually give you way more than you need (i.e. 10 when you only need 2-4), so I'll probably pop one of those one night if I'm desperate for sleep. Plus an eyemask, earplugs and a decent pillow. After you hit a certain age a scrunched up jumper no longer cuts it.

Tommy Dickfingers
Always so tired by the time I’ve got back my tent I’m out as soon as I get on my air bed. It’s the heat that wakes me up every time.
Doug85
Last year was the first year I used ear plugs, they were much needed as I have to be up for work at 05:30am. The music/partying across site can be heard all night without it for me now so i'll defo be using them again this year. However I usually pass out around 1-2 am. It's mainly for getting back to sleep after something wakes me up during the night.
