I do wonder if they’ve been told Festivals (big events) are not allowed till say May.  So they’ve decided today would be sensible to announce prior to the COBRA announcement.

That would be my logic, and it makes sense. Pretty much every country that has put measures in place has attached a timescale them, it’s not feasible for the measures to run much past a month or two. But this isn’t just Glastonbury, there will be thousands of outdoor and sporting events in limbo, the government will most likely have been in consultation with these events behind the scenes so they know if they can plough on or not.

I just can’t see how it would be feasible to leave a massive operation like Glastonbury in limbo, they’d need something definitive from the government sooner rather than later.

I don’t think it’ll be too bad in the sense that a rapper on top of the Pyramid is nowhere near as big a deal as it used to be.

The bigger meltdown will be from the “who?” brigade. Mums across the country will be canvassed.
