And they are monitoring public health advice. These statements are meaningless at this stage.

They're hardly meaningless when they end with "at present".

If that were the case any statement would be meaningless as we're all going to die at some point.

it goes to show that until further notice that festivals are running as business as usual and that assumptions that things will be cancelled are far from guaranteed as people seem to be quick to jump to.  the assumption should be everything will be fine until told otherwise.

I’m confident it’s coming today.

Announcement day always follows this pattern.

1. A tip off

2. Something supports the tip off

3. doubt

4. silence

5. Some band lets the cat out the bag

6. Someone gets some kind of press release

7. silence

8. it drops.

We are currently at stage 4. LOOK THROUGH TWITTER. The next thing to happen is a band to let it out the bag or tweet something in excitement.

So what stage does the major of West Yorkshire fit ? Should I start following him on twitter ? :)

    • I'm 59. It's not so much the music as the camping/late night chaos I've grown out of at R+L. If I was still local to Leeds I might still be persuaded for a day ticket if the lineup was to my taste.
    • In 2024, Dua and Coldplay had B stages and they were dismantled and rebuilt overnight to suit both acts.
