Oh good Lord yes. Last year was my first, and had to properly steel myself to do it. It feels completely normal to chat rubbish on here, but that first moment of wandering in and just saying "Hi I'm Quark" to the first person you see and hope it's someone you know is bloody hard work! Luckily that first person happened to be @Curlygirl so the first thing I got was a shot of her cherry bakewell vodka!

I know a couple of people have offered a pre-meet meet to those who are maybe less inclined to just bowl on in, and I'm more than happy to chuck my hat in the ring for that!

Well I've got nearly 8 months to decide/ pluck up the courage to meet you all and create a persona on here that I'm not able to live up to in reality :)

I've just realized that the best way to figure this place out is to clique-clique-clique around, isn't it? Took me a while, I'm a bit old and rusty to clique-clique-clique but oh well, yawn and etc.

I lurked for ages before plucking up the courage to post and then discovered that everybody was actually really friendly, I don't think anybody actually gets the "in" jokes, they're just keeping up appearances.

I was even more worried that the meet would be cliquey, I couldn't have been more wrong. Do come along.

Really? Well now. That I didn't expect. If you post there I shall gladly call you a c**t to make you feel bang at home :D

I reckon there must be loads of efesters loitering around the edge of the meet, just watching...

I walked past it in 2015 and peered over to see if I recognised anyone but didn't. Was showing my mates' who were at their first Glasto around the site so wouldn't have come over either way, but yeah.

The past two festivals I've considered coming but not bothered in the end (in 2016 I wasn't on-site in time anyway and in 2017 I was so pissed I couldn't walk within a couple of hours of being on-site).

Might come next year but I worry about Neil telling me off for posting so much shite on his site :D

Think we just form an orderly queue  in front of Neil for that one.

Oo-er, that pre-meet meet for those who don't like joining big crowds is starting to sound a bit big and crowdy....

In 2017, I was near the front of the Pyramid Stage watching Kris Kristofferson and trying to work out if that really was Bradley Cooper pretending to rock the Glasto crowd. Next, a young lady next to me told me with great conviction that Barbara Streisand was being booked for the legend slot in 2019. I nodded in the right places and thought it was just one of those crazy bizarre Glasto rumours.

Reading this thread reminded of that afternoon in the summer sun and left me thinking what if?

She's doing carpool karaoke with James Corden this week, still holding on to the 'A star is born' momentum I guess. So what, then? Bradly Cooper The Park, Gaga headlining, Streisand tea time?
