Apropos of nothing... The Ziggo Dome is a great name for a venue.

How popular are Slipknot? They were one of those bands who a few people at school listened to back in the day and I would recognise a few songs but a bit heavy for my liking.

I would have said more a Brixton Academy band than the O2 but clearly what do I know.

They're pretty big, album went to #1 recently.

They'll sell out arenas without breaking a sweat.

Was reading an interview the other day, and they consider arena shows to be "intimate". So yeah, they're pretty huge tbh

Robot Wars veteran as support is a brave move.

Lead singer was on QI once, doesn't come much bigger than that

What do we reckon for prices for this Slipknot tour?

I'll be up for the London date

A lot.

I’d be shocked if you got any change from 80 quid for standing.

It was a lot cheaper than that when Korn supported them not that long ago. I think I got change of £40 but that was about 5 years ago and in Cardiff.

If anyone is on the fence about going to see them I'd recommend it. They are incredible at what they do. The times I've seen them they've had a great production too.

Oh sweet they're touring in February, I'm gonna sprinkle some Lana Del Ray magic on that and say they're now nailed on for Glastonbury in June.

I'd guess a big academy tour probably with Ally Pally as the big date? They've done Brixton before so I'd guess they'd want to step up.

Anyone know if Steve Lacy tickets went quickly on presales? Wondering how on the ball I need to be in the morning.

Not the most extensive of tours...

That'll bring an end to the cycle they last February with the smaller venues I think.

I don't know whether to go to Manchester Academy for Frank Carter (on a work night) or the Ally Pally on the Saturday, and stay over in London.

Is it just me or is Manchester Academy significantly smaller than Ally Pally and the Barras?

AP is about 10k. I’d be surprised if Manchester was more than 3k.
