I think it was always expected this tour would last that long. One of the things that makes him a contender for Glastonbury that year.

Why not? He’s signed up to a long farewell tour and the dates are already arranged. The only downsides are for the punters.

People don't even book holidays two years in advance. I think it's ridiculous asking people to do so for a sodding gig

comedians do it all the time, and I assume the currently announced 2019 arena gigs are selling pretty well if they're sticking these up now too.
