Elbow have given a subtle hint that they're gonna be there (to somebody on here in person iirc) and are only available on the Friday. Seem a good bet to me, and could be a decent part of Emily's 'two years of music in one' thing.

Maximo Park are selling their newly released album for a fiver on CD today to try and get it into the charts. Also includes a raffle ticket to win a signed guitar. Whatever happened to them? Stinks of desperation.

Pretty sure they both open at the same time. James were definitely clashing with the Syrian Orchestra last year until the opening of the Other Stage was delayed.

they'll have a greater chance of getting into the hit parade by being on Brave Sir Robin's Glastonbury playlist on Spotify than they will knocking out CDs for a fiver.

Probably the bands slot expectation doesnt match up to where the festival think they should be. They played in 1998 didnt they? (Or around then)

Bananarama were on the radio yesterday talking about their tour, no mention of festivals by them however once the interview had finished the presenters were chatting and the word 'festivals' was mentioned, bearing in mind their tour starts in November it was an interesting slip of the tongue.

a version of Bananarama were already announced for a fest this summer. I was contacted by that fest about a week before the announcement and asked to remove it, but also told they'd still be playing ... so I'm not entirely sure what's going on there.

But WTF is going on here? Next up, will people be wanting Westlife? FFS.
