I had to buy two 2-man tents onsite last year after I found my tent was missing poles. It was a stand in the marketplace area, they had second hand and new tents. The ones I got aren't top of the range but they're double skinned and certainly did the job. I'm bringing them again this year. The only thing is they cost £75 each, when in a shop/online they'd be more like £40, but it's certainly a fairly hassle free option.

Reading all the ticket horror stories I'm extremely pleased to be going by coach, with nothing but a working phone and the email required. From personal experience: - Don't lug a heavy tent you last used at another festival all the way across the site in 30+ degree heat, only to find it has poles missing and you have to go and spend ££££ on new tents for you and your mate in the marketplace - Don't buy food there's even the remotest chance your stomach isn't going to agree with. I chanced an egg roll on the Thursday morning last year and spent the next 4 hours throwing it up into a bin bag. I don't react well to undercooked eggs so this was a risk too far for me -Pack light but make sure you have enough warm layers for nighttime -Don't get overexcited at the hotel with your mates the night before (if you're doing that) and have to do the journey/tent set up with a hangover the following morning. Happened to me last year and has a very real possibility of happening again this year if I don't rein it in

The married straight couple who my mate and I got chatting to near the pier last year, and ended up having a few drinks with in the bar. It became fairly clear they were looking for a couple to swing with and were disappointed to find we weren't a couple and my mate is gay. Lovely people though!

Medical Tent people are AMAZING btw.

Started panicking that my chairs and new sleep mat are far too big to carry in, which they blatantly are. Bought a new lightweight chair that packs down really small and now considering the same for a sleep mat. My old one was tiny but stupidly thin and uncomfortable.

I paid a visit to the medical tent on the Thursday last year after an extremely violent reaction to an undercooked breakfast egg roll 🤮 They were brilliant. Left feeling reassured and with anti nausea and rehydration medication. Will be steering clear of eggs at Glasto in future and recently donated.

Usually it's racing across the site from the coach park to bag one of the last remaining spots on Big Ground, throwing up the tent and sitting down with a drink. This year it'll be sitting at the cider bar waiting for Love Fields to open!

Usually it's an early Weds am coach from London, arriving at lunchtime and me running around Big Ground like a blue arsed fly looking for a pitch (always manage it but it's stressful). This year we're in Love Fields, first time we've glamped. Staying in Bristol on the Tuesday night and getting a 7am coach the next morning. We planned that before we decided to do Love Fields - for the first time we're actually going to be there in the morning but it's utterly pointless because LV doesn't open until midday! I am really looking forward to not having to run across the site to make sure we get a pitch though. And showers and nice bogs.

I turned up this year to find my tent was missing some of its poles, making it utterly useless. We were stood on our pitch effectively homeless in the 35 degree heat - fun! Thank God for the camping shop. Yes, they gouged me (£150 for 2 2-man tents) but the tents were brand new and worked fine. We'd have been so screwed without them! And yes, I have learned my lesson about checking my tent before heading off next year 😄

Depending on the pitch size you needed, you might have got into Big Ground. We found a decent sized space for 2 2-man tents early afternoon on the Weds, and there were others. Not so much for huge groups though, granted!

£1750 for 5 people in pitch your own at Love Fields (£350 each). We paid £310 each because we got a £200 for not using the car passes (coach tickets). Don't know what the equivalent is for WV but that location doesn't work for me so I didn't even look at it. Other option was 8 man tent in Tangerine Fields for £1350 (£270 each) but location isn't as good there either.
