Yeah she crossed over with the start of Radiohead. I watched Elbow up in the Park then headed over to the Pyramid.

we watched Royal Blood and then had a bit of a 'gap' but decided it was too much running about to head over to her (only to have to leave 30 mins before the end to get back for Radiohead) and wound up just having a wander elsewhere whilst The XX were on (who I don't like)

Lorde is a must for me - Solar is meh, but still capable of 5 good songs live.

Pyramid - Sunset -The Path Opening and Green Light closing. Then Kenny. PARTY!

The path is fantastic tbh.

First show of the Solar Power tour last night. Setlist here:

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/lorde/2022/grand-ole-opry-house-nashville-tn-3b6ad7b.html

No Team or Tennis Court is lame. As is most of Solar Power being played. But a hefty amount of Melodrama still there which will hopefully be carried over to her festival sets.

Ribs and Buzzcut Season though.  My two favourites!

RIBS out of the setlist is mad... Let's see how her first festival setlist will look like, when she will reduce everything to 13 songs.

EDIT: Ribs is actually in, sorry! haha

Using that setlist as a template and assuming she’ll get an hour/hour 15, I reckon we’ll get something like:

Leader of a New Regime

Homemade Dynamite

Stoned at the Nail Salon

The Path

Ribs

Liability

Secrets From a Girl

Mood Ring

Supercut

Perfect Places

Solar Power

Green Light

Oceanic Feeling

Royals

Something from Melodrama had to get the chop so I chose that, but would be stoked if it made it. Listening to Solar Power now and it just seems cruel that some of these snoozers will get played instead of the bangers from that album.

Going to need some time to process the loss of Tennis Court

The videos from these shows look insane. Crowd absolutely belting the lyrics to her tunes.

Kinda gassed for Roundhouse now.

You're going to be hearing 10 songs from what you claim is the most offensive album of all time, mate.

Probably worth me adding that all the mad crowd reactions are from melodrama tunes.

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
