or does anyone else think, "this is the best line up I have seen for many a year"

I mean take the headliners out who I don't care for, but everyone else on the list I want to see. it's not been like that for a while

I have been a tad in different about who is playing over the last few years , Thinking it got a but samey. But it's Glasto and I will go no matter what. This year I actually want to see things

It's solid but not amazing for me. Tbh though if I didn't come on here I'd be a lot happier with it I think, the element of surprise being taken away for a lot of acts obviously means it's less exciting to see them on the poster as you knew it was coming.

From an objective point of view it's a ridiculously strong lineup at the top end. Biffy and Katy Perry could've legitimately been announced as Glastonbury headliners in their own right, with perhaps one of the actual headliners and nobody would've really batted an eyelid.

Oh come on. There would have been a complete outpouring of bile if either of them were headlining Glastonbury!

Definitely. I would have been fuming if Biffy Clyro especially were booked as headliners. It would have been one thing a few years ago, but an absolutely abysmal booking now.

The complete opposite for myself, Radiohead aside, there are only two acts on there that I would go out of my way to see.

However, all of my group are drooling over this release as one of the best first releases in years.

I therefore assume my musical taste is a bit crap, or my friends have terrible taste.... I'm not sure which yet :)

I'm usually happy if there's just 5 or 6 bands on the complete line up that I want to see all weekend, but already I can count 6 must see's and the line up is not even half way announced, what a bloody good Thursday well played glasto :D

I've no ticket and this line up made me think I've a better chance at getting one now. If anything, it validated that the draw for me is the farm and the people. I'm largely unimpressed with the line up (parts of it are a wind up, surely) but as focussed as ever to go.

There's 32 things on there I want to see. Unheard of levels. There are even a few must-sees I've never seen before, which is rare. It's a brilliant lineup.

Exactly this

I see it as a first batch that will please and impress a lot, but it's light on must sees for me and heavy on names that provoke the conflation of 'a big booking' with 'a good booking'. main surprise personally is the can project, though even that is limited by the absence of Jaki

edit: but, as always, i'm under no illusion that i'll struggle for things to see and do

It's definitely a weaker poster than last year for me, but that's just down to taste. People are excited for The XX, The National, The Flaming Lips, who I don't care for, but can't deny they're exciting bookings and have went down well. Looking forward to the next few months as the undercard trickles out and a few more bigger acts get added.

    • We had one f**kwit one year come back at 4am and start playing music out loud and sitting under the tree talking. Thankfully his mate was in the tent trying to sleep too and came out and told him to f**k off. After one big argument he did indeed f**k off.   Otherwise I can actually sleep at GM without ear plugs compared to glasto. It's usually typically fine for sleeping at.

    • Yeah, she sold out BST twice and I think she'll return with even more interest.
    • To me MGK doesn't shift tickets, but could appeal to a younger demographic.    Don Broco/Architects/Jimmy Eat World/Turnstile - one or two of these would hit better.
    • I'm going, some friends and relatives will also be there on some days. I'm going on Sunday, then Tuesday to Saturday. I'm staying in the city From the headliners I'm most excited for Florence and twenty one pilots. Smaller acts I'm really looking forward to are: Tomora, Dijon, Wolf Alice and Sigrid
