Maybe Neil meant he's heard who the 3 headliners are/who they're after, and it doesn't include Coldplay, as opposed to him having heard that Coldplay are doing a different slot.

The idea of Coldplay headlining in 2020 was dumb af all along anyway.

To be absolutely fair I still suspect FM are in the mix for that same reason. They could have ruled people out thinking Macca was a done deal.

It would be strange if it was Madonna with Emily having ruled her out in Taunton talk ..... Michael also said he couldn't talk about Prince the year they were closest to getting him at a talk in Taunton when I attended  .... There is no pattern

Aside from the fact that they've been explicitly ruled out by the person who books the bands, all the other evidence would have me certain its Fleetwood Mac.  Also, I want it to be Fleetwood Mac.

yeah, but that's because Prince was an arse and reckoned his name was being used to sell the tickets.

What a triumph (on paper) Madge would be after all of this Strokes nonsense. Without her having anything else lined up or announced yet though I struggle to believe it, but the year is still young.

I don't think anyone gets early sight of the line-up, apart from those involved in putting it together.

I think it's much more likely that people selling VIP tickets will be using the rumour of Madonna that The Sun started last summer as a way to get top dollar & sales for the tickets they're punting.
