the delusional confidence it takes to log on to efestivals.co.uk and seriously call 90's rock band oasis one of the greatest bands of all time. do you realise what site this is. get an actual grip.

*MOM? MOOOMMMM? SOMEBODY IS WRONG ON THE INTERNET!?*

Part of the reason why some people dislike Oasis so much is that at a certain point in time you really couldn't avoid them, much more so than anyone now. I only vaguely know a couple of Ed Sheeran songs because I am able to actively avoid him. Oasis were everywhere. Yes they were culturally significant but if you weren't really a fan they were pretty annoying.

I guess today we curate our own music catalogues, where as 20 years ago (and further) it was all broadcast - the most popular stuff was on the airwaves / tv.

Massive shift in our consuming habits since then, reflected here.

Oasis was a shop, with shoes so hot, they were sure to blow your mind.

Will pass most on here by. Deserving of an up vote by me though at least ?

I hope LG will be subbing Stormzy then I will probably give that stage a swerve on that night, although my daughter might have other ideas.

I love The Cure, so will be there for that...and can’t not see Macca just because, well, it’s Paul McCartney...he used to be in the Beatles and everything!

Thanks. Good to have more confirmation and that we're not being led astray.

Guess when you consider they've been working on these headliners for a long time - and they're all British names - it's not too early to be sorted.

Yeah, I don't think it's odd, particularly with a fallow year.

Please let us have The Chemical Brothers on the other or Hot Chip headlining anywhere on the Sunday.

The Cure booking makes zero appeal to me.

Would I be foolish in expecting them to have the smallest crowd of the 3 headliners?

Yeah it's very possible. Obviously Macca will have the biggest, Stormzy will probably depend on how successful his new album is.

I think Stormzy will but neither will come close to Macca’s.

Aren't Liam and Stormzy sort of mates?

No that’s Guigsy.

With the capacity bump on Sunday, unlikely.

Stormy Z will have the smallest, I'd imagine.

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
    • Yeah Roy's Tune was lovely. Looking forward to the whole thing hopefully going on iPlayer.   It's scattered dates they have this year really, proper tour/s to come next year - suspect a new single will drop in the next couple of months, providing the album is done.
