Soulwax - Sonic headliner?

I hope not. Looking at the dates they can only Sunday.

Subbing metronomy? They seem to have a massive stage set up for this tour so would have to be a big stage

Ah never saw that they have shows on the Fri and Sat as they're not on their Songkick. Guess they'd work below both Metronomy and Justice.

Oh really? Yeah it does seem too big for them. Park headline or WH sub feel right to me, size/style-wise, but do you think they'd play not in the dark?

They played in the sun at nos alive last year and are subbing (or maybe 3rd down) at Blue Dot.

If they're Sunday and Justice are headlining WH I reckon they'll sub Jusice or 3rd down maybe.

Would be shit for me if they clashed with Biffy, missed them at nos for the same clash I think.

Certainly going to be a 2manydjs after hour set if they're playing

Grow up

Sat here depressed waiting for a midnight website launch to pull through from caching and this has just set me into pathetic laughter.

New Biffy album is better than new Soulwax album though... I'm that unimpressed by it.

Wow it must be bad as the new Biffy album is truly gash! I think they'll know what they need to include for a set at Glastonbury on a locals/kind of family and chart day.

Mafia Kiss

Left/Right

All playing according to Songkick

Stanton Warriors Punks Label are putting on a showcase somewhere so this lot will likely form the backbone of that.

Soulwax into Justice would be pretty banging, but I think Soulwax would upstage Met. if on the JP stage. Must be WH sub suuurreelly. Also gives me something better to close the Sunday after the horror show that is Biffy+÷×Ed, or Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa on the Other. Even going near those stages on Sunday night gives me the heebie jeebies

Although I could probably get along with seeing Biffy (and there's always Lorde who may end up subbing Other that night) I'd love a big electronic one-two of somebody then Justice, so if either Moderat or Soulwax took the spot before them that'd be pretty nice.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
