Nah..on in the Avalon or somewhere like that.

A bit off if she's slugging it out on the Avalon and Diana Ross is closing her heavily attended Pyramid set with her most popular song.

Cheesy as in the 80's festival.. Although the 90's acts are in the Sunday in Bristol....wasn't suggesting HM's are cheesy.. Just playing at the Bristol cheesy fest

Ah fair enough. Happy Mondays are always about but Gaynor might be enough of a rarity that she sneaks onto the bill. Less of that lineup the better tho. :P

All the more reason for Lady Di to can I Will Survive.

Though I'm sure there have been other times when similar things have happened.

Edit: Candy Staton in The Park 2010, with Flo and Dizzee Rascal doing You've Got The Love on the Pyramid.

Hmmmmm. ..The Park would also work.

I'd take Angel Olsen and Modeselektor/Moderat for sure!

One thing though - Roskilde are making a big play on Modeselektor and Moderat appearing together for the first time - Moderat is just the Modeselektor boys plus Apparat - they can't be Moderat without Modeselektor, or am I missing something?  I've seen them, they were definitely all on stage together!

yes, Modeselektor and Apparat play together as Moderat and have performed together many, many times in the past.

the only thing I can think of is that they'll be playing both Modeselektor and Moderat tunes, which is hardly something worth getting too excited about IMO.

I'd have already assumed that when Moderat have performed together before, they'd have done a few Modeselektor or Apparat tunes as part of the set anyway, not just all Moderat ones....

great visuals though, late in The Park please, a la Four Tet, Jon Hopkins...

Vitalic announced a tour, UK dates up a Glasgow date in March. Would be good for Arcadia.

I had not seen the announcement in any of my usual circles so thank you so much for pointing that out.  I've wanted to see them for years.  Though what kind of UK tour is Aberdeen Inverness glasgow and london.  Though I do appreciate them playing Aberdeen and Inverness

Yeah I was there too and she was excellent!

Ah nice one! Was my first time seeing someone there, really smart little venue.

Bit gutted I missed Intern and Woman though, had to get something to eat because we got stuck in some nasty traffic from Portsmouth for about 4 hours with no time to get food and was getting hangry.

Fingers crossed she will play them both on her tea time slot on the park that I have already decided is happening.

The Other Stage has had solely dance bands headlining for the last 2 years. Are we really expecting that to change?

i don't think it's something they'd feel the need to stick to if they found an appropriate headliner for the stage who wasn't a 'dance' act, i.e. i think an act like Bon Iver, Alt J or The xx who incorporate electronic elements could be considered contenders, although i'm sure the other two slots will be taken up by Major Lazer and another dancey act

It wouldn't shock me at all to see a metal/rock/alt band headline that stage again next year. The biggest factor when booking Other headliners, I imagine, would be who is up against them on the Pyramid.

NIN fit both the electronic and rock element so i'm still hoping for them above all others. they only had New Order vs. Adele this year so might not necessarily feel the need to stick a heavy act up against Sheeran, but if they do, NIN are the only option!

I'm gunning for NIN or SOAD, with Deftones supporting either :P

ah man that's rotten luck. I'm at uni in Brighton so have been lucky to see a lot of good shows there in the past 2 years. Haha yeah I'm also really hoping she has a good slot on the Park too!
