The New Power Generation, Prince's band in the 90's/00's, is reuniting for another Prince tribute in Minneapolis next month, as well as a solo show in California in May. According to Billboard, "More dates in the U.S. and Europe are to come."

More folk are gonna want to see the Revolution, though.

That's probably true, but NPG was "my" Prince, in the early 90's on Diamonds & Pearls and the "Love Symbol" album. The Revolution was my brother's Prince, in the early 80's.

Also, as far as I know, The Revolution has only announced dates in the US.

For starters, one of them is called Dr Fink, which makes him sound like a Muppet.

Well, NPG had a drummer called Michael Bland, so... yeah.
I'm not gonna win this one am I?

You had info that he could be the Sunday or just a WH headliner in general? Based on nothing at all I'd have thought he'd play on the Friday rather than the Sunday.

no info on day, and only speculation - mostly from me :P -  that he's playing.

He's got to be at least as likely as anything else for all the while we have no info suggesting anyone for a particular slot.

Well, the NPG had Tony M. The Revolution didn't even *have* a rapper!

Also, NPG members went on to form a new backing band, "The Administration", for Nick Jonas of The Jonas Brothers. So clearly... uhm... dammit.
