No doubt in my mind that Florence just steps up and headlines Motörhead probabaly sub then they drop another band, that have already played that day, in for a 2nd set sonewhere down the line friday Pyramid lineup.

Don't say that, it's bad enough they're playing anyway!

Sits in a chair and plays a nice relaxed acoustic set.

god that would be terrible. "Hey you know the way we always ruin some of our classics by slowing 'em down and playing 'em acoustic? Well here's the entire set played that way!"

they'll play. he may not be as mobile, but they'll play

is there some sort of stage blindness affecting guitarists? First the Edge the other month, now Grohl, is it a widespread maialise affectng the dreary middle-aged rock community? who will be next? If I were Slash, I'd be fucking bricking it.

Dave will want to put on a show. He's the ultimate show man. They've waited 20 years to headline Glastonbury and he'll want to do it justice. No doubts about that.

If he feels he won't be able to give it his all, then I think they'll ask to play next year instead. This will be their only shot at headlining so makes sense for them to be able to give it a proper go.

As mentioned, I'm sure Blur would step in (if they're free). Or bump up Florence. We won't be left with another Gorillaz situation at least thankfully!

I went to a show on Iron Maiden's first tour, and the bassist of the support act - Preying Mantis - did a big finish to the last song and fell off the stage ... just as the rest of the band exited, so they didn't notice.

They came back on for an encore and then noticed their bassist in the pit. We didn't get an encore.

yep, I suspect they will.

The one thing that might stop it is if the leg need surgery, so fingers crossed on that one. But, I hope, the fact he carried on last night suggests it's probably not that bad.

aye as somebody pointed out earlier, if it was really that bad he wouldn't be talking to the crowd moments after and continue performing - he'd be writhing and screaming in pain. obviously it looks like a serious break but not enough to keep him from performing i suspect. say what you want about the man but he's dedicated to his fans if anything

The only people I've ever seen writhing around and screaming in pain after a break is football players to be fair. Most people who break their leg can bear the pain, and he had immediate attention and medication to help ease the pain.

The X-ray shows it's a bad break. Adrenaline got him through last night.

When I broke both my fib and tib and dislocated my ankle at around 7pm, I didn't feel any pain until around 11pm when I was in a bed in hospital and wanted to sleep. It's incredible what adrenaline does.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Grohl. I can say almost certainly that he'll need surgery, the bone is disjointed. It isn't the weight bearing bone, so isn't as bad as a tibia break. However, it can take days for the swelling to go down enough for surgery to proceed...
