That would mean that the fence wouldn’t be he and Pangea she ….  It might also mean that the productivity of the U.K. in the run up to June massively increases

id also probably go up a grade or two in my current exams. efestivals.co.uk/glastocam > revision right now

They’ve been there for years. One of the cubicles collapsed on the Saturday night/Sunday morning in 2014 and someone ended up in the wheelie bin beneath. That’ll teach them for hovering over the seat!

Good spot!! Nobody up on the farm yet, it’s 6am, the sun is up, don’t they know we have a party there in 5 weeks time 🙂

5 weeks to the day 🥳 I wonder when we will start seeing stage tents

In case anyone was wondering, like me, roughly when we might see the Glastonbury sign on the hill.....had a quick search back through the thread - and it was pretty late in 2019 - June 18th/19th

Well that's me never using them again. My word. The horror.

Imagine the long drops collapsed. You'd be in a whole world of shit.

I've heard that for a smaller boutique camp site they start 3 weeks before 1st arrival, but that is a small crew.

I'm sure I've seen someone on here say's a relation works there and it's about 4 weeks.

It's a serious amount of canvas.

It did happen, at least a couple times at the same festival. I want to say 2013, but could be earlier than that by up to about 5 years.

It's been covered before, but essentially the long drops used to have a wood covering with regular toilet seats stuck on them, before they started moving to the easier to clean modular ?plastic? style we have now. Only problem was that first batch of the modular style wasn't strong enough (again presumably because they didn't expect people to stand on them) and at least a couple of them gave way that year.

    • Pretty sure at the stage we can expect the charge for Man City will be a 10 point deduction for..... Everton
    • Ah those were the days....! When you could go to the festival and nearly drown.
    • It's only the last few years that the festival have started calling it the Legend Slot.  For most of its existence it's been the Teatime Slot, with the idea it was the sort of music that Jean Eavis liked to listen to whilst having tea on a Sunday afternoon i.e. MOR, Radio 2, borderline easy listening sort of music.  Hence bookings like Shirley Bassey, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, etc.  There's mibbe some overlap there with classic radio rock and of course the boundaries are all pretty fuzzy now, but it's generally not a rock slot.
    • I've never had any issues. Remember watching some Tour De France stages on phones in the past. Maybe at the festival sight it could be a problem, but I think people are spread out enough on camping.    Maybe it will be different this year with only teenage girls coming to see The Cure, David Byrne and Napalm Death 😅
    • They'll surely put AdP on Woods. They are aware of the off the scale level of hype.
