When did the festival ask people not to take / post photos? I love seeing them, anyone who doesn’t should probably avoid this thread and just watch the webcam.

For staff / others who have access before gates open? It's been requested for as long as I'm aware of. Most festivals in the country have some version of that in their staff handbook or equivalent guidance - it's just that it's not always easy to police especially at Glastonbury where there's probably 30,000 plus people on site by Tuesday.

From what I remember the last couple of years they have asked people not to post photos of new / updated areas online.

I kinda agree with that though.  As much as I love seeing the site come together on the webcam and the photos from peoples runs, certain bits I like to keep a surprise for when I get there - especially with anything new.

but that's the thing, this is the webcam thread.

The festival do have a social media policy for people working on site FYI. Assuming it's part of a larger handbook.

anyone arriving on site early is asked to not post anything on social media to not spoil the surprises 🙂

I seem to have caused a bit of a debate 🤣

Sorry, I wasn't having a go at you, I was just asking a question because, personally, I'd rather not have too many spoilers but thought not not everybody would feel the same.

However it does seem that you boyfriend will have signed up not to post photos.

He was wanting The Mexicans, who are desperate to get in,  to pay for it.  Can’t imagine the festival trying  something similar😊

Ha - keep out the locals! Just kidding. Remember when the fence was a joke and you just pushed it over and walked in!

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
