They've cleared a load of the grass to the right of the Pyramid, they were starting to do that before it got switched off.

Ok just for you saddos that like watching paint dry, here are some photos from this afternoon.  Sorry about the quality but I haven't perfected the running/photo taking.

To note:

Nothing going on at arcrania

Her dress is now by pyramid

Pathed cleared in woods on RHS of JP field

Possible long drops going in at williams green or just drainage works.

Mens urinal troughs out being aired( no photo of that cos that would be just too weird)

Paths very dusty

Pyramid field fenced off because they are spraying the field with something vile smelling...I'll leave that up to your imagination

Spoke to the guv and he said it is not likely to be open until june unfortunately. They are doing a huge renovation and keep uncovering problems. They want to do it right and do it once so it will take longer.

Cheers, when we wandered past there was scaffolding up.  I’m sure it will be worth the wait. Apart from the festival we visit quite often and been missing popping into the crown

Scaf is gone, roof redone, jackdaws evicted from chimneys, repointed outside. Inside the skittle alley has gone along with a wall to make a restaurant area, interior gutted and being redone. Flat upstairs redone and they intend to put an air b&b up there. The bar will be in the same place but everything else will be  redone.

Will be fab, just need it back open.

I made a visit to the farm on 29/03/17 and they had just sprayed the pyramid field with that stuff then as well. We didn’t actually notice that the time though, until we got back in the car and noticed the vile smell coming from our dog, if you look at his paws in the picture you can see they’re covered in it, he absolutely stank for a week afterwards. Must be something they do at this exact time every year though:
