I hope Dave's love of TJF will mean they'll get a support slot. Deserve it.

Sorry, I may look like a right idiot by asking this but who are TJF?

Also I feel we (me included) are steering off on a tangent in this thread!! We should either call this thread 'Foo Fighters possible 2015 Tour and support discussion' or start agin discussing credible headliners for next years festival, and discuss about things along those lines more. (or we can mount up pages and pages of un productive forum games like on the Reading and Leeds Forums)

If Foo Fighters do 'a week' (or 4/5 nights, whatever) then I think the chances of Glastonbury too are slim.

Oh, and don't get me started on Take That's last tour. Utterly ridiculous how many dates sold out. They're up there with Michael Buble (10+ nights at the 02 I think?) on the 'mum music list'.

Oi this is offensive to me as a mother :-)

I'm schooling my 3 year old daughter in the good stuff!

As an occasional R&L forum poster I take offence at this. We don't rack up pages on forum games. We rack up pages talking about tent w*nks, coffee shops, Neutral Milk Hotel references and saying 'scenes' a lot.

Just to set that straight.

As someone who's interested in going to Bestival, could you explain?

See the Bestival Forum/thread about other festivals that are similar to Glastonbury.... but as others have said just a bit of a ball ache to get to in all honesty!!! There was a 4 hour delay on the hovercraft, then waited an hour for a shuttle bus when I got to the island. (But the actual Festival itself is quite nice :P)

Also like Musr having Bastille and The 1975 this year, although not as awful :P

And Mr Rascal! :P

i can't see both Muse and Foos doing it in the same year. both quite heavy big stadium rock bands from the same era. might happen but i reckon it'll be one or the other

I wouldn't of said this before, but I'd rather the Foos than Muse if it is one or the other

Oh god. Prince has been added to the rumours list now. Is that a wind up? I can't cope with all that again next year.

got added about a week ago. don't think Neil has mentioned where the rumour this year has come from?

although i agree with you. Prince headlining without all the hullaballoo would be great, but that's just not how Prince works, so fuck him

    • Hmm, weird- Rush are playing the Co-Op live on the 12th and the 14th, and Megadeth are the meat in that sandwich - so they have to roll everything in, roll it out again, only to roll it back in and then out - here's hoping for a prog hokey-cokey with all manner of bizarre time signatures and drum solos!
    • Depends what you mean by seeing 'more stuff' about it.    I definitely don't trust the original Sun article.

    • Chill. There is no chance Sziget will be cancelled by the government. Even the prime minister held a press conference today, where he confirmed this.   Magyar said they do not want to shut down the country or prevent events from taking place. He gave the example that vetoing an event would be like completely cutting off a large consumer’s electricity supply for the organizers. However, just as they have not taken such a measure against large consumers, they have not taken steps to cancel events either. (Magyar did not name a specific event, but he was presumably referring specifically to the Sziget Festival.) At the same time, Péter Magyar stressed that if disruptions occur in the system or the heatwave persists, it could become necessary to postpone or reschedule events (example: some Hungarian football games will probably be held in daylight, moved to a few hours earlier, to save energy), although he believes there is currently little chance of that happening. This is particularly true for events that rely entirely, or largely, on their own energy sources.
    • If the campervan field residents aren’t allowed to cut through orchid they’ve got a brutal walk on their hands.   otherwise not too many surprises
