Headliners 2015

If one of the main reasons for The Stone Roses shout is that they have unfinished business with the festical, I can see that that same logic would apply with The Killers....

(Would be the worst headliner booking in my lifetime tho. Including Kasabian and Rod Stewart.)

I think the main reason the The Stone Roses is rather that they are a huge band that hasn't headlined.

The Killers haven't released anything good since they last did it. It'd be a shocking booking, but I can't see it happening.

and has a gig there on the Monday too.

he could conceivably fly back after his gig on Friday and be in the UK on Saturday night, headline Glastonbury on Sunday, and be back in the US on Monday afternoon.

would also explain why Taylor Swift is rumoured to be at the farm in the middle of 3 headline performances of her own.

as he played last year though, it seems unlikely he'll do 2 years in a row with a bump up 2 slots. if he hadn't, he'd surely be a likely contender.

Would kate bush 100% not do it do people think? I know little about her but I understand it's more theatrical than musical, and more for the small stage...is it definetly a show that couldn't be adapted for glastonbury?

I keep making this point, but Madonna has a history of choosing a big one off performance prior to launching her tours...

Yeah....I mean, it's not impossible, but I suspect her tour show wouldn't be ready for late June, and she I'd be surprised if she put together a new one for a festival slot.

No. Saw it in September, was very good but definitely not a festival show.

Was very theatrical and she didn't play anything off the first 4 albums.

I don't think she'd need too? The songs/routines etc will be rehearsed months in advance & she obviously wouldn't need her own stage. If she's looking to promote her tour, the media coverage she'd get from Glastonbury would be the best way I can think of doing that.

The Kanye booking for Saturday makes me think that Swift is much less likely for the Sunday now - given how much controversy Kanye has caused, I expect that the Sunday headliner will be a fairly safe booking.

Given how much stress the Jay-Z situation caused re: ticket sales, I can't see them going for two fairly "controversial" headliners in one year - it would surely be too much of a risk.
