I hope no one shouts at me, and believe me I hate myself for saying this, but what about Sam Smith.... Just won a shedload of awards and for some reason seems to be huge.

DON'T HATE ME I ALREADY PUNCHED MYSELF FOR SAYING THAT

Nah. Only subbing V and T, and last year the acts who did that played third on the Pyramid, headlined the Other Stage and subbed the Other Stage.

He also wouldn't have enough songs to fill a headline slot if he played his entire album twice.

William Hill have opened betting again for the Sunday headliner, shame there's no solid rumors at the moment

Lol at Take That being longer odds than Kate Bush.

She's done 3 nights many times. Didn't realise it would be 4 tho. Did another date get added? Even more reason for her not be there. I think ones expecting her will be very disappointed

no, it's been 4 nights in a row since the start, Hyde Park on Saturday, Dublin on Monday and Tuesday.

subbing on Friday would make far more sense all round, assuming you don't subscribe to the theory that FF would have to be preceded by a guitar band...

They would be a massive flop and surely HIGHLY unlikely and not the Glasto audiences cup of tea.

But erm, would they even consider having a punt at Paramore?

Hayley Williams is also a woman.

definitely not. pop/punk is one genre that is almost never represented at Glastonbury - plus, they co-headlined Reading so would be a very weak booking, plus they're on the arse end of their tour which Glastonbury rarely ever does with headliners

her tour starts in August - very unlikely that she'd debut it at Glastonbury two months earlier

a greatest hits set at Glastonbury to sell the last remaining tickets for a tour full of new stuff would work though, although i've no idea if her tours are usually near-instant sell-outs or what...

Is that actually a possibility?

No chance - people go and see Pyramid headliners just because they're Pyramid headliners. You're mistaking the Pyramid crowd for the eFests contingent.

Plus Swift has a few well-known tunes and is a bit of a celebrity, as it were. So if she headlined, sub-headlined, whatever, it'd be popular.

Christ, if we we going by that criteria the Eavi may as well invite Katie Price to duet with Peter Andre. Wouldn't that be fantastic?

No, no...Carlton - the little charmer - has been in the news again today:

Carlton will explain on here soon i am sure, but he was factually correct with that with that one :P

because as a 25 year old guy i'd feel like a bit of a dickhead stood in the middle of a Taylor Swift gig belting out her tunes (probably alone, because i doubt i could convince a friend to fork up the money for it). i went to see Pink a few years ago (mate had free ticket, i thought 'why not?') and i just felt odd. wouldn't be so at a festival. i'm sure many people have acts who they'd never pay to see at their own gigs for whatever reason but jump at the chance to see them at a festival

Yeah, I really liked Lily Allen's first album, as did my mates girlfriend, so the three of us went to see her at the Apollo. We were in our twenties at the time and seemed to be the oldest people there by far without children. Really, really jarring.

Saw her at Glasto, was totally fine.

    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
    • Choosing  I think boycotting a festival you would usually attend simply because you don't like one of the acts is pretty petulant to be honest, just go and watch a different stage. There are plenty of the usual slam dunk attendees who would be into him, as well as attracting new festivalgoers too.
