I dunno why. She's 25 and has been singing most of her life, it's not going to be that much of an extra strain for her. She does 3 nights in a row fairly regularly on tours in America/Australia.

Does she? I don't think that's true.

Either way, it's not just that is it? Those dates seem to have been arranged like there's nothing going on on Sunday, rather than completely based around the huge festival slot on Sunday. I wouldn't imagine they'd finalise Glastonbury, then go and sort out Hyde Park for the Saturday, and then a Dublin date on the Monday, then go and add the second Dublin date for the Tuesday, all when there's ample space around the UK tour.

It seems as straw-clutchy as AC/DC were (which I rubbished just as much as this, despite wanting it to happen) before they were completely ruled out to me, it's just there's rumours that she's playing - which is fair, I just don't quite think they're correct. I thought that Friday seemed just about set up for her, still might be.

She was doing 3 night stints on her Red and Speak Now tours. I don't know if she's got any set up this time.

I look at it as a whistle-stop mini-tour of the UK. Its obviously been set up so she's in and out of the UK (and Ireland) within a week. Might as well milk for it for all its worth, take the extra money from a quick Glasto appearance and the extra exposure from the recording which will not doubt be promoted to the max by the beeb.

I don't think she'll headline, I think she'll either sub or play after Lionel. I think she'll play because it would be a great opportunity for both parties whilst she's around, and I don't think either party will want to let it slip. I do agree Friday seems the more sensible choice, but if Neil's info is saying Sunday I'm gonna side with that until there's something saying otherwise.

I'm the opposite. I don't want Taylor and didn't want AC/DC, but I'm a pessimistic ass, so I get it into my head it'll be them. At least I won't be disappointed if it's someone else I'm not bothered about.

Fair enough. It's good to have a Pyramid headliner or two that you're not bothered about because it can be a pretty shitty place and time to watch your favourite artists. The Blur and Kanye stuff has me sweating because I already wanna see Foos, and I'd really wanna see Blur and equally not wanna miss Kanye. I don't think Kanye will play anyway so could do with some shitter popping up on the Sunday.

True, but I'm not really sure what acts are around/likely that I'd actually want to see as headliners on the other stages. Aphex Twin headlining something would be good, or Funkadelic on West Holts (apparently unlikely because it's already happened), or The Cribs on JP/Park (but I'm expecting them mid-Other). Should probably listen to some Chemical Brothers because I don't knowingly know anything by them at all.

You'll know them when you hear them, they've got a fair few massive dance anthems from yesteryear.

Watch the 'dont stop' dvd live set that'll prepare you for what it'd be like

I don't think the proximity of Swift's other dates is relevant. They all relate to a 2-3 hour full blown world tour performance, not a 90 minute fly in/fly out drop by in Somerset. Plus, if she was ever going to add an extra couple of dates surely it would be for a slimmed down major event or two overseas?

I know. I'm clutching (AT STRAWS, MARTIN) but I honestly think she's always been way more likely than AC/DC.

Sure, but the context of Carlton's comment, "Swift is a Yid" is pretty unambiguous. And I think its a racist slur. Was he really saying this US singer is a Spurs fan?

I'm going to duck out at this point. More interested in GF headliners here, tbh.

I'll be as straight as i can as to avoid any unnecessary confusion; i saw no ambiguity in that fucking idiots comments, casual, ingrained racism for sure.

I agree, back to the non-news glasto headliner agony.

That Carlton fella. Tries very hard to be 'controversial' doesn't he. His little posts have not bothered me really until the one with the 'Y' word. Football related or not, it's still a very insulting word to use. Bad show all round young 'Charlton.'

As for the other two headliners. I have no clue but I am really enjoying reading all the conjecture. Actually, I'll go for Blur or P***** for Saturday and Madonna or Swift for Sunday.

As a more recent poster I wouldn't really know this but is it usual for us to not have much idea at this point in time?

Regardless, latitude line-up release today has calmed my needs for festival line-ups a bit (for now)

the past few years we've been pretty confident of at least two of the headliners (with the third being closed in on but still being somewhat of a question mark)

also William Hill have closed betting again!

He's been banned. Racist slurs are not acceptable here.

14000th post on headliner thread!!

Edit: I better make it meaningful now.

My mind is going into a state of perplexion about the headliners this year. Do I care who it is? Not too much with Foos confirmed. I'm actually hoping for headliners that I think will deliver a hell of a set but not ones I want to see.

Its going to be exciting.

Excellent - it's now safe enough to come back in here and lurk. The lineup situation is stressful enough this year without cretinous half-wits polluting the atmosphere :aggressive:

He deserves no more time.

So back to the headliners....what do people think or Rihannas chances?

I actually think Rihanna could be likely...i reckon she'd love glastonbury and would be keen to do it even though she's an international superstar who could get paid buckets of money to do something else.

    • They had it last year too, between 3 and 4 pm.
    • I've been told beer will be cheaper until 6pm. Anyone can confirm?   Not like i'll drink more than 1-2 in 38 C degrees.
    • This!   Biffy Clyro I don't think would ever get asked, I just don't think it us their scene and it certainly wouldn't be a wise move for them after how the Finsbury Park show went. If they ever had a chance of regaining or staying a bit higher up taking Slam Dunk isn't how you do it. For the cost of it now I think being into the main headliner does make a difference though.
    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
