Headliners 2015

The only way il ever be convinced it's Fleetwood Mac, is if a line up posters appears on the official glastonbury twitter "we are proud to give you out 2015 line up" and Fleetwood Mac are at the top, that's the only way I could believe it, it's not going to be Fleetwood Mac

What sources do we have to suggest that they are likely? Does The Strokes being announced as BST British exclusives and blur not make them a decent shout for glasto then?

PS: just joining up some dots in my head, and letting you peeps in on it....

Someone has contacted me with some info which he claims to be from an excellent source. They've been in touch in the past, and that previous info stood up.

While I won't say here what they've told me they did get in touch at one point, specifically to tell me it wasn't Coldplay after I'd said it was. I foolishly dismissed that at the time, because of my (misplaced) confidence in my Coldplay sources. Within what they've told me is that Fleetwood Mac are not playing.

Along with all the other "it's not Fleetwood Mac" stuff from Emily, Mick Fleetwood, etc, it's going to take a very well placed source to convince me that it is them.

Can we get a new clue on the headliners then?

I'm kinda hoping swift wouldn't be the Foos sub since I'm kinda hoping the foos get to rope in a brilliant band they are friends with to support them. But if meant swift was at the festival I'd be happy with it.

Kanye and guests would be massive for Glasto, so I'm not holding my breath - Kanye alone would be massive for Glasto.

Of what is supposedly from the inside track, I've only heard things which say they're not doing it.

Tho there's also an awful lot of presumption around that they will be headlining - and I can't put that idea down myself. Of any act I would guess at right now, Blur are the ones.

But I'm hearing nothing credible that's telling me they are.

My dreams of Fleetwood Mac headlining are long dead. Surely they must have been approached for headlining though, I wonder why they chose to do IOW? Purely down to the money you think?

I sometime forget that not everyone thinks so highly of Glastonbury as we do, but if I was an artist, headlining the Pyramid would have to be one of the top career goals.

They are the last likely british band that could be headlining this year.

It makes me a little sad that some artists (ahem, Libertines) have got to the point where they'd take money over performing somewhere with such an incredible history and culture, and somewhere they've never performed before and that would be an incredible experience all round.

Aren't Phil and Jonny doing their own thing this summer, I don't suspect they are likely to come back to radiohead for one show, hope I'm wrong though

That would be my guess, yup.

Tho it's possible, I guess, given how far back in time Fleetwood Mac go, the idea of playing the Isle of Wight Festival appealed to them more than Glastonbury did.

Madonna's tour doesn't start till later and it starts in the U.S. I don't think she's very likely.

Closer we get I honestly think swift has (as on the rumour page) that sunday slot.
