  1. One time confirmed. Thursday 4pm at the campfire when we light the wickerman with the organisers in it so the harvest of stage times doesn't fail next year.

  2. If no one else has set one I'll create the WhatApp group today. Message me your numbers and I'll add you. Message me and I should be able to send you the link.

  4. I think theres study in this thread due sometime. Post lockdown/eve of festival clash of emotions. Like 2 trucks colliding head on. Unique stuff really. First gig Ive been at since Feb 14th 2020, my first mass event since then too. It seems like a form of festival birthday blues around the place at times. But alas, this time in 24 hours most of us will be in a field with friends watching a gig with a booze in hand.

  5. I don't even like festivals. I'm only here for the stage times

  6. Kasabian currently doesn't have a frontman and their last two albums didn't exactly do well in Belgium. I doubt any Belgian major still has interest in booking them unless they agree to occupy those lower slots again.

  7. Are people just looking for a whinge? Yeah stage times would be nice but we kinda know when acts are playing. Hardly like they're saying "the festival might be cancelled but turn up anyway and see". Can fine tune the gigs when we're there if needs be. They'll be on the board for all to see.

  10. Reading Fest' (26-28 August 2022) already communicate yesterday, with "news coming soon" for their 2022 edition ; Since both Sziget and Reading shared many acts in the past, I believe we might have some news before the end of September... and when I look at every other fest', they all announced at least a part of their 2022 line up ^^ ( just saw that Download are giving new names tomorrow) Lets just hope we won't be the last to be served, as we were in 2020 (12 of February, damn that was a long wait...)

  11. Sunday from 5.00pm to 9.30pm would make a pretty amazing day for a festival W .H. Lung, Black County, New Road, Crack Cloud, Porridge Radio, Little Simz, Yard Act, Dry cleaning and Arab Strap

  12. Yes. My neighbours were all in the telly. I didn’t go because I prefer national or global stardom!!!

  13. A different wristband to add to the collection!

  14. ooooft thats an opinion 😉 ! nothing against Simz but 'some' of us have equally strong opinions for WH Lung. and doubtless others for the remaining clashees (is that even a word?) as said above, nice problem to face eh.

  17. It deffo feels a bit more chaotic than I'd like, but given everything I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. TBH I never thought Beavertown were coming back - since the last one they've opened the new brewery in Spurs, they're just a totally different entity to 2 years ago. They advertise on buses now.

  19. Sorry if anyone is missing their fave but I love Porridge Radio so that's a big win for me

  20. Oh yeah deffo. My comment was just emphasizing that it would be to be sensibly done. Especially knowing the corporate types who get involved with the music scene.

  23. I just really like vibe of Riot Fest. Even in the UK where there's an overload of fests there's not many places where I can see something like The Flaming Lips, Wu Tang, Slayer and Damian Marley the same weekend. It's one of the reasons why I like Boomtown so much that's it's not just rappers, just dark fruit indie, just dance or just rawk. The Americans probably look at UK fests and think ours are weak too, who the fuck are Biffy Clyro, Foals and George Ezra. It does take some getting used to as some headline acts like Modest Mouse don't mean much here (to be honest I've seen them twice and they were duds twice plus their albums lack the magic of their early stuff so no real lost) and Riot Fest do like to bump up a punk band to headliner like Jawbreaker and The Misfits even though they are often not on the same level as their other headliners.

  24. I geniunely couldn't tell you, but it was the Tibetian Kitchen. Last time I went I ordered momos so often they started giving me their other dishes on the side cos they were like "there's more than momos man!"

  25. Went for a sports massage today, essential pre fest as I hurtle towards 40. Feeling so limber! Can't wait to absolute break myself night 1 during Hot Chip

  26. One thing everyone has failed to mention is that if you know the set times in advance then you know clashes. And if you know clashes, you can listen to the acts a bit more to decide which you prefer.

  27. I like the stage times before I leave home, mainly because I don't have a colour printer at my tent, but not a big deal to take a pen to transfer the colours from clashfinder to the programme on arrival. My OCD part will cope I think...

  29. I'm tempted too for 2021 as Wizzair will start with very cheap flights to Reykjavik from my closest airport in a few weeks. Never been to Iceland at all but I'd love to. Nice lineup (and many names to discover) for me, giving the festival tastes and the general situation. Mammùt's last record has been one of my favourite ones from last year (band from Iceland). For what I know it's a small, very folkish and picturesque festival, in case I'll let you know.

  32. Yes. There's a questionnaire that you HAVE to fill out (or at least that's my interpretation) which gives you a unique code to be able to buy tickets later this month. Once you have filled out the handful of questions and submitted, this comes up; Thank you for your submission, our panel of semi-literate penguins will be reviewing your application. Successful applicants will receive a unique weblink by email on 25 September. You’ll need this to buy your tickets when they go on sale on Sunday 26 September at 06:00. XX The Head Gardener

  33. I'd personally be up for a Riot Fest type festival which is more alt/punk oriented than Download's cock rock/metal. Just look at how good some of these line ups were;

  35. He produced it, and he will be part of her band for her tour later in the year. Whether that means he will play with her during her main set at EOTR I'm not sure, but as already mentioned seems they have a little piano stage date planned.

  36. Also returned from Lost Village last night, and absolutely loved it. One issues aside from the volume in places though. Avery and HAAi should not have been at the zoo. That stage was way beyond capacity and we had to leave due to inability to actually dance. This was compounded by them being only one of few acts on during the Thursday, but I had the same issues at the stage for Octo Octa B2B Eris Drew on the Friday. Ended up avoiding that stage for the rest of the festival. Highlight was undoubtedly Dixon at the Airbase on Saturday. An absolute techno masterclass that blew everything away. Couldn't Shazam anything with the lack of signal, but there was naturally some Âme in there and some stuff from the Transmoderna series. Hope LV managed to record this! Only Four Tet could get away with Special request, Burial, Jamie xx, and then a 10 min remix of Overload by Sugababes. Sufficed to say, I loved it. Other highlights were 2manyDJs, Romy b2b HAAI, Effy, Caribou, and Raw Silk who were playing some brilliant French house. Definitely returning next year!
