My favourite "discoveries" so far are:

  • NewDad - Irish alt rock. To me they're kind of like Momma or Wet Leg with a bit of Shoegaze.
  • Lambrini Girls - Punk. I'd compare them to Amyl and the Sniffers. Loads of energy. Should be fun!
  • Baxter Dury - Not sure how to describe him but sort of eclectic, a blend of genres and his delivery is interesting - a little bit The Streets-esque in terms of both vocal delivery and lyrics.

Baxter Dury how did I miss this on the cartel. Great artist. Kind of similar to Sleaford Mods too

Got my fan ticket just now . No queue.
only pain / panic was in the payment process a Coupon / Voucher window pops up. You can’t close it or progress without putting a valid number in . So I was stuck .
It’s actually asking for the Fan Code !
Not clear at all seeing that I had clicked on the Fan ticket buy link provided with the code in my email , you would assume it was automated . and looking at socials was confusing a lot of folk , myself included.

Anyway. All good . Apart from selling a kidney to pay for all this now 😂

As has accommodation.

Hotel in 2020 (subsequently cancelled due to covid ) 3 nights 500 Euro

Same hotel this year was nearly 900 Euro

We booked an apartment last year for 1600 Euros.

This year, they've wised up, and I was sent a special "primavera discount deal", where the same apartment is 2600 Euros!

Yeah in 2022 we had a nice apartment for 6 for 4 nights Euro 590 - near Glories tram stop .

Absolutely no chance at that price this year 🤦‍♂️

Anyone else not receive a fan sale code? And how much is the general sale compared to fan sale?

Mine came through just before 8am Uk time this morning . Check your junk folder msybe ?

General sale 350 Euro I believe (+ fees) (!)

So if you can get fan price 295 it’s def a saving worth having

PS has a daily capacity of 90.000, twice that of Rock en Seine. I think the „Fan Sale“ i a deliberate Bottleneck because they know that this line up wont sell as quickly as the 2025 one

https://www.catalannews.com/culture/item/primavera-sound-barcelona-attendance-record-7-june-2025

This says daily capacity is only 71K.

ah yess, I wasn't aware they added Wednesday, Sunday and Ciutat into the total figure so I just divided the 290k by three. My Bad.

Still, its much larger than Rock en Seine (which also isn't sold out completely, just day tickets sold out quickly, so people got two- and three- day passes to see The Cure, but full fest tix seem to still be available)

VIP tickets are 545 + fees.

For the 2017 Edition, VIP tickets were under 200 including fees.

Festival inflation has got out of hand.

just realised that the full price ticket at 350 + fees makes this more expensive than any festival in the UK except Glastonbury .

It seemed considerably cheaper than most until just a few years ago .

Wild increase. Be interesting to see if this sells out

how is it 350euros per ticket?! WTF happened there?! I went in 2022 and if I remember rightly, original tickets were something like 200 euros... For a 3-day festival with no camping, 350 is really expensive! Then it's £200 for the flight and £900 for an apartment... Would've had to been a really good lineup for me to justify that.

VIP almost tripling in price in 8 years despite being stripped for parts year on year is really not what you want to see from a festival that talks as if it's 'for the people'.

That being said, VIP tends to sell out faster than general admission. Do we think they just know there'll always be gullible people willing to pay more to feel like they're getting an exclusive experience? Is the slow Americanisation of all festivals with tiered pricing and experiential gatekeeping just inevitable at this point?

Also I don't like how fast tickets have gone up in price this year. We're less than 4 months since the festival happened and we're already at €350+fees? I know the lineup is out early but a lot of people I know simply don't have €250 lying around in the middle of summer. Now they're being punished for not having enough cash and will have to pay a premium? It doesn't sit well with me.

How was he waking you up, were you leaving the fest shamefully early??  And why did he move to the bathroom.  So many queries.  Tame Impala, LCD, Radiohead, and PJ Harvey?  Good year...

The festival ticket also comes with Ciutat stuff, so you could get a week's worth of music out of it.

But the earlybird purchasers are the true winners here.

Yeah I was just thinking with hindsight that financially the best option by far would have been to just get an early bird, and to sell it in case I didn’t like the line-up.

Last year it sold out faster than ever with a general sale that ended at 350+. And it only took them a few days to go from 295+ to 350+.

So I guess they have assumed it works.

I honestly hope this works, because the other obvious consideration is that it sold out because of the heavy reliance on pop headliners (which for me was a plus, but that's beside the point) which would lead to a more and more mainstream lineup over the course of the next years.

I still think that 350€ is a good price for the value you get out of it, given that Primavera is the only festival I've been to where I got the feeling that the headliners were doing their own show and not being part of a festival (mainly due to the fact that Mordor is Mordor).

But yeah, the whole experience will be in the range of a 1000€ for the 4-5 days, this year will be Primavera and nothing else, festival wise.

We were there an entire week before the fest. As for the barhroom I can only speculate, maybe he needed a wee before the next round?

LCD in sala Barts made up for all of it
