  1. The festival has not yet issued an official post on which artists or bands have canceled yet. They have simply reacted to the news given by the artist through their social media. The FKA Twigs show is an exclusive act for Primavera Sound, will be the festival that delivers the bad news, not the artist (similar to what happened at the festival in Mexico). Nevertheless, I trust that she will still be part of this year's lineup; the advertising and publicity given by ps supports this.
  2. Do you all think we could get any new info about the lineup before the price change (may 3th friday) or it is a marketing strategy ???
  3. - In 2023 FKA Twigs was replaced by Sevdaliza ( art-pop / alternative R&B too ). Since Sevdaliza obviously couldn't fill the late night headline spot, another artist from the lineup Caroline Polacheck took that place in Mordor. -Cardi B was replaced by another big female headliner, which was what they were aiming for in the 2019 edition ( the new normal anthem ). - In 2022, Massive Attack wasn't directly replaced due to the sold out; artists already present on the lineup (no idea who) took their place in Mordor.
  4. Primavera Sound is always somewhat unpredictable, but I believe it's not just about maintaining numbers on the lineup, but rather filling thematic niches. If a DJ cancels, they'll likely be replaced by another DJ; if a electro pop second-tier headliner, they'll very probably be replaced it by a similarly sized artist to fill that gap
  5. agree, if there's a replacement, which at this point is quite complex (assuming that Kim Petras has announced her departure very recently and that is not a strategy where the bad news were intentionally announced late), it should be a electro pop act in line with queer culture or the new normal anthem to fill the gap left on Tuesday. Replacing Kim Petras with someone like Kim Gordon or Slowdive wouldn't please the people who are mourning her loss. Perhaps ShyGirl, who is currently on tour, could be a viable option. EDITED: don't really see Kylie Minogue or Nelly Furtado as Primavera Sound material tbh
  6. no easy to find a replacement rn… thanks good I’m not into hyperpop nowadays
  7. probably the reason they didn’t dropped the refreshed line up before… they were just waiting a confirmation from her
  8. Might be a bit presumptuous of me, but I don't think they'll need generate big clashes on Thursday (Pulp x Vampire Weekend x Deftones x Beth Gibbons ), mainly because it's usually the day with the fewest people at the festival. They usually don't have big crowd controls that day. Another thing is that someone might have a very diverse taste or want to see artists from very different genres... (Freddie Gibbs & Madlib x Deftones for example) Similarly, I don't think artists like Kim Petras, Peggy Gou, and A.G Cook (for example), who cater to a specific audience, will clash that day. However, I do believe that on Friday and Saturday there will be deliberate big overlaps due to the bigger crowds
  9. anyway… less than a month to get the timetables (may 13th as early) fingers crossed to get too a refreshed or updated line up this week

  11. Totally agree see them late dice or even cupra
  12. and what performances or artists do you think will be in Mordor, apart from the obvious ones?
  13. I truly believe that if she's not on early at Mordor, she'll be on in the late afternoon (maybe sunset) at Cupra. It's completely impossible for her to be at the auditorium, all the slots are filled on Thursday, and she's a cult classic, too big.
  14. Yeah at least for me the run is pretty clear on Thursday... Minor act 1 > Minor act 2 > Beth Gibbons > Deftones > Vampire Weekend > Pulp > Justice
  15. Totally agree, playing with the carts we already have (and will have) it's quite evident that Deftones will be in Mordor. The artists with whom there's some doubt are Beth Gibbons and Amyl and the Sniffers but Deftones, VW, Pulp, and Justice will definitely be there.
