If it is Mumford and Sons on the Pyramid stage I can imagine the edges of the field being the busiest they've ever been just in case it turns out to be someone good. If the worst happens and it is Mumford then everyone can make a quick exist before the first banjo string is played in anger.

If that's what's happening then I'd imagine the cat will be pretty much out the bag by the time the slot itself rolls around.

Friday- Lewis Capaldi - Woodsies

Saturday- Mumford- Pyramid

Sunday- HAIM- Park

Is the current thinking I believe

Out of interest... we know that Woodsies and Park are both an act short of their posters, and that implies that the full line-up will have TBAs in the spare slots.  But right now there's no guarantee of a TBA on Pyramid or Other, so it's funny that a TBA is assumed for Pyramid, and that the TBA must be Mumfords! (This has been the general consensus for weeks!)

Mumfords could well just be announced with the full line-up, and there may (or may not!) be a separate Pyramid TBA appearing as well.

Just saying this because, somehow, we're all set on 3 TBAs, and that the TBAs must be the three acts above... and that therefore no one should bother speculating about Pulp. #clutchingatstraws

It's defo not set in stone but if Mumfords are playing at this point it won't be in an announced set. They're too big for any slot left.

Don't think Pulp is happening 😞 but we will know more next week (tuesday?) anyway

I think we know both the headliners and subs for the Pyramid, but not who (without guessing) is third down... are Mumfords really too big to be announced on the full line-up as third down?

Defo. Pretty sure they still headline most fests they play and are still pretty popular. Doubt they'd headline again but they're in a position where secret set just makes most sense for them

Mumford would draw a bigger Pyramid crowd than Pulp, this forum is hugely underestimating millennial nostalgia!

not sure anyones said that .... its just that Pulp dont seem to be among the current rumours

Imagine if this was true, the world is already a dark and depressing place please don't say such things - even in jest.

hey, as long as i am far away this time im ok with it. Let another stage be empty while his is rammed.

Btw. Sheerans tour points to no. Unless he flew out friday night to germany after playing. Would imagine he would want to be soundchecked and such.

Mumfords, despite some folks misgivings, showed at the big weekend that they would be very popular on the pyramid and attract a big crowd.

Yeah,  not my thing at all, but at the end of my road this summer we have Iron Maiden, Mumfords, Charli XCX, Neil Young, Duran Duran/Nile Rogers, Alanis Morrisette, Justin Timberlake. Of those, Iron Maiden sold out instantly…Charli took a few days, tickets still available for everyone else except Mumford (who also sold out the day they were released). So, despite the fact that they don’t get much love on the forum, they’ll undoubtedly draw a big crowd.

Yes, their gig in Glasgow sold out out on the day they went on sale. Looks as if they are playing their most popular tunes as well.

    • Playing a bit of devils, isn't that the case for any act? If you csn get a bigger sub or or 3rd etc the next will play lower. Tbh they would probably be best headlining second so in the kinda in between slot, that would be better. Get GC on second and Avril on main subbing Friday for Blink. But I'd expect it would be Avril sub and GC second another day.
