Secret Sets 2025

Now that we have the first poster, who do we think the secret sets/TBAs will be?

Obviously I’m hoping for Pulp in a Churnups Pyramid slot but elsewhere wonder if Fender could turn up at Woodsies pre-headlining in a few years (like The Killers did), or maybe more realistically Mumford & Sons and HAIM.

I'd love Pulp, but I can't help but think there are some immovable obstacles as to why it doesn't happen. Been rumoured for the last 2, maybe 3, festivals and never seems to happen. Fender I think will hold out for the call to headline.

I think Mumford were rumoured for a secret set in 2020, just kicking off a touring cycle for the new album so I'd hedge by bets on them more than anybody right now

The problem for me is more that it really hasn't been rumoured.

Like, there's been many people (including myself) who've said how great it'd be, how much sense it'd make, etc and who've tried to find a reason to think they would be. But that's not a rumour, it's just a desire or speculation at best.. In terms of actual rumours that they might be playing, there was absolutely nothing in the previous two years and only one fairly weakly sourced whisper on the subject for this year.

I hope it is M*mf*rd. I've got too many potential clashes already.

This is true, it's always seemed like speculation perhaps leaning towards "logic" for many people. I just think there must be a reason why either Glasto have not approached them, or Pulp have said no because I can't imagine why Glastonbury wouldn't have gone for them. But who knows!

Moaning about people moaning about secret sets in the secret sets thread.................... as you say. Clamp it.

Moaning about someone moaning about someone moaning.. Oh never mind.

Oasis? 🤣

Still baffles me their grand return will be in Cardiff, keep convincing myself there's something else in the pipeline and that it is Glastonbury but day by day giving up on that thought! Was more in hope than expectation anyway...

Green Day are in Europe and have gaps on the Friday and Sunday 👀

I remember spending my whole 2022 trying to figure out if they're playing or not, SecretGlasto even sent a cryptic tweet on the Sunday and I was trying to figure out how to rush there. Would love this to happen

Jack White (again)

Really surprised not to see him in a prominent position on the initial poster, his park secret set last time he played was brilliant an all time highlight of mine on the farm but just feels unlikely he'd rock up and do the same again if even on another stage?!

Kings of Leon have the Saturday free, sandwiched inbetween a Swiss festival and the Sunday in Cardiff. Wouldn't rule them out given how close the festival is to Cardiff.

Especially since the amount of clips they posted from their headline set last year before Kasabian were announced, I’d personally love to see it!

    • It’s probably fairly easy to stay in a hotel but I much prefer the camping set up. It was pretty quiet where we camped but a longer walk to the arena but the weather was nice so not a problem. There’s also a lake you can camp by. Once we got off the tube/train we walked down the main road and turned right (festival site is left) and camped down there.    Do you think? They do have water points inside the arena & where I camped there were toilets, showers & water points super close. I think if you time it right the RiP stage is so easy to get close to the front. Second stage is decent & a like the indoor arena for bands on the 3rd stage. I think all the stages sound better than Downloads too, always had issues with the 2nd stage at Download being too quiet. Even main at some points.
    • Interesting that they’ve mentioned Blink-182 in mail. Btw dates for 2027 are 10-12 June. Same dates as Mystic & Sweden Rock and most likely Download, RFP & Greenfield.
    • Scooter are a meme booking. The Chems aren’t viewed in the same way. They’re a serious electronic act, whereas Scooter has only ever been suggested (and now booked) because ‘LOL look how wacky us metalheads are we love silly music too’.
