tbh I think it's incredibly strange that they aren't playing glasto.  And why go through all the trouble to immediately say they aren't? the boys love that festival as much as we do.  Liam's quote in the glastonbury book is proof of that.

Until the festival is over and it doesnt happen in some form, I'm convinced that they're playing.

This reunion is, inevitably, all about the money. Glastonbury doesn't offer (much) money. They were never likely.

I hear you, and while I agree with you I think it's also about ego.  To be away for 20 years and come back to headline the biggest festival in the world scratches that ego big time.

It will be new music or new dates. The reunion is all about them, they aren't going to share their first comeback gig with a festival. They will be back at Glastonbury, just not next year.

If they play Glasto then 2027/28 is the year to look , if they last to 28.

My hunch and it is a hunch is that Glastonbury got moved from an expected fallow in 27 to 26 in the knowledge of Oasis being free. A year falling with The Cure, Oasis, Radiohead would be absolutely no surprise and I can't see many being pissed about it. The Cure at the one I'd be most confident about.

Tickets competition also not a bad shout.

Genuinely still stumped as to what the show will look like. The latest guess:

Rock 'n' Roll Star

Morning Glory

Go Let It Out

D'You Know What I Mean?

Roll With It

Songbird

Stop Crying Your Heart Out

Little by Little

The Importance of Being Idle

10 Talk Tonight

11 Half the World Away

12 The Masterplan

13 Slide Away

14 Wonderwall

15 Cigarettes and Alcohol

16 Supersonic

17 Don't Look Back in Anger

18 Acquiesce

19 Champagne Supernova

20 Live Forever

Looks good but if they do new music 6 of them will end up being binned for whatever they decide to release.

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
