Id say anywhere but Cardiff -  The Manics are probably a bigger act than Oasis in the Cardiff area.  They are a Beatles size act to the Cardiff support.

I can assure you they aren’t. Despite being festival big guns 25 years ago, they know their place now (lower down festival bills etc). I saw them support Macca at Cardiff and that was 14 years ago.

So Oasis are big enough to sell out two nights at the 70k capacity Marvel stadium in Melbourne, but not quite big enough for three, at this stage. Still plenty of tickets available at face value, including GA. I’m sure it’ll eventually sell out given it’s still over a year away but it’s interesting to observe the ceiling.

How much are they? and how does it compare in terms of $$$ to other stadium gigs over there?

I'd say £150 was toppy for stadium gigs in England, about £100 seems to be the standard stadium cartel price here and they've positioned themselves not eyewateringly above that (ignoring the dynamic pricing nonsense)

At the going rate, what's left is about £160 - both seated and standing.

This has a caveat - Australian gigs of this size are seldom cheap in the slightest. Tour prices seem to always be on the higher side there, especially for international artists, but it arguably is balanced out by a higher average wage packet.

Even so. It's steep.

They were politely appreciated with The Killers a few years ago, though on a bill of star-studded support choices, did feel a bit like the safe pick.

We had the Manics when I saw The Killers on the Imploding the Mirage stadium tour. Not seen them before but they were very good.

I was impressed tbf Sam Fender honoured his original 2020 booking to support them in London when the shows were finally held in 2022, and them being held at the Emirates Stadium meant it was literally round the corner from his own shows a few weeks later at Finsbury Park.

I was with the drummer from Kasabian on Saturday night after recognising him in a bar in Bristol. He told me they weren't supporting Oasis as it stands which i must admit i was surprised to hear. Also, he was a proper sound guy i must say!

I'm not at all going to this, but I was just looking for someone to explain this because it doesn't seem to make any sense.

I've always thought that stubhub ticket sales were completely anonymous so there would be no way to know the difference between a ticket sold through them and a ticket transferred to a friend (unless Stubhub get a court order or something).
