Fair whole back, as soon as a market appeared really.

As ford discord, can you confirm if it something that includes a app needing to be download to a community.

you can access discord via app or on a computer, it's a cross between a forum and a group chat in this context really

there isnt thats going to get posted in this thread given that efestivals is someones business . im sure you can go looking though if you feel you need to

What about posting something like the Glasto subreddit then? Not trying to churn up an argument, but ultimately the internet is full of stuff that can potentially take away traffic from this site.

And not that I'd recommend people to visit that particular Discord, the culture there is full of puritan hall monitor posturing and immature cliquey/mobbing behavior. Not to mention of course the whole ticket day shenanigans last year.

Not something we’d discussed as mods or with @eFestivals so might need to get back to you .

Still think it needs a few more miles on the clock.  Swap one of the lads out for Stevie and it'd be set fair.

Oh I agree, I’d take Stevie over any of that trio.

We need something to tell us it’s a possibility though, at the moment it’s nothing more than a pipe dream.

Back when eFestivals was owned and run by Neil, quite a lot of "rival" festival news sites/forums, eg. virtual/strictly were blocked links. In the case of the discord, we'd discussed this with Iggy, and the direct block has been removed for discord servers in general because the internet is in a very different place to how it was 15+ years ago.

However, for this specific discord, several members there have decided to directly target eFestivals to grow that platform including trying to be disruptive to moderators here, and it is because of that culture that we won't permit public links.

So back to headliner discussion …. Which is why we are here …. I’d love Sam fender he was amazing last time so much happiness in that field

Agreed he was great. Just not sure he's ready to step up to headliner. If he had a strong album coming out then why not. If it's a bit meh then no? Make or break

quite ironic really that the real threat turned out to be the previous owner himself and not the rival websites.

It’s nice here now, but not as busy sadly - it might recover more if said previous owner wasn’t still hanging out in his old shop doorway.

Yup, a little snippet the other day positing an unsavory comment regarding the one direction situation kind of just showed where he is still now compared to where the forum has come and needs to be.

On the other place the chat is that Foos are lined up but if they’re a No it’s Fender.

Personally hoping for the latter. Go for three young acts.

Quids in if it is Fender. Also it is understood Foos are currently still playing Reading next year so I think Melvin's got them anyway.

Please make sure you report anything that you are uncomfortable with and the moderation team will deal with it. Reports are only seen by the team and we act upon them as quickly as possible. We are working with you to make eFestivals a kind and safe place for everyone. 😊

Foos would be a meh booking.

I’m with you, much rather three young acts (assuming Stevie Wonder/Rihanna/Lady Gaga aren’t available).

I didn't find it worth it to be honest

I think Rihanna is most likely comfortably. Her saying no to Coachella means nothing for me.

I’m spending less and less time on here because I’ve realised it’s fairly boring. Just constant circular debates on which artists may fill what spot.

You are posting this in a headliner discussion thread …. Not quite sure what you expected to find here tbh

Spending less time on here during the winter months is quite normal. And you seem to have mastered circular debates quite well yourself!

    • I think we have to trust their reasons to take a break now
    • Fair enough! I've never heard it formally addressed, but thanks for the education!
    • Absolutely - it's a double edged sword. Weezer is the only one I can recall them amending, but since the last fallow year we've had Phoebe Bridgers, Courteeners, Myles Smith, Yungblud and The Vaccines (and I suppose Djo count?) play very small slots on Woodies for artists their size. That's not even including secret sets, and ones like Sigrid and Tom Odell that spilled out of the tent. See also: Wet Leg and Barry Can't Swim on the Park   Part of me loves that this happens because getting a big artist in a small slot feels intimate and unique to Glastonbury from any other festival, but it does come at the cost of feeling anxious that they'll shut the stage down before you get there!
