The argument about the how much glasto pays isn’t really relevant I don’t think. If Taylor plays, she’s gunna play because she wants to not because she’s getting x amount. Artists also get a cut from the BBC streaming fee the labels charge and obvs the additional album sales/streams.

Yeee, I’ve no doubt OR will get even bigger. My point is that Glastonbury had so many ‘could headline’ artists on the line up this year that didn’t and this is where I see OR. Im not disputing she won’t headline in the future, I just don’t think she will do it in the next 2 years. I do see similarities between Billie and OR but I personally don’t see her reaching the heights of Billie. i kinda feel billie sits alongside arctic monkeys as these debut acts that just blew up, she’s an absolute juggernaut of an artist.

My point is Olivia Rodrigo is not going to be booked to headline Glastonbury in the next two years because there are so many other better choices available. She also does not have the universal clout (at the moment) to be considered. if lizzo and Lewis Capaldi aren’t booked to headline (even you feel they should be) olivia Rodrigo won’t do it before them. Arguably Lizzo is a much more suitable pyramid headliner than Olivia in terms mass appeal but my point being, if Lizzo isn’t booked to headline, why would Olivia come in above all the acts like Taylor, rhianna, dua, blur, Coldplay, the 1975, Madge, harry styles etc. if you’re going on about other stage crowds you could say that Fred again… should be topping the bill? Which I reckon, if Glasto ever want to have a dance act closing the pyramid, he’d be the first one in years to do it. But in the next two years, no chance. in 2019, Lewis Capaldi played to a massive other stage crowd but was booked 3rd down this year..by your logic, he should have headlined over GNR? In the UK, he is undoubtably bigger than Olivia Rodrigo as well.

Completely agree it’s going to get a lot of streams but that doesn’t mean she’s going to headline the pyramid stage in 2024 or 2025. Loads of artists have billions of streams but aren’t headline material…we will never see Tones and I topping the pyramid. If Lizzo can’t headline this year, Olivia Rodrigo won’t in the next couple of years. I’m not saying she never will, but over the next two years? No way.

I don’t think in her European announce she had any three daters. The fact that she’s now announced some means she’s happy to do so in Europe. the fact they’ve added another Wembley to august over June obviously says a lot. will be interesting to see how many roll dates get added when tickets go on sale.

With the additional London dates in august. I think this puts her in the running for the Sunday. If she’s happy to do three nights on the bounce, Dublin Friday and Saturday followed by glasto Sunday is certainly doable
