To be fair, Tik-Tok to this generation is what Top of the Pops, MTV and the Sunday night chart countdown on R1 is to my generation. If you're going to hear a hugely popular record, chances are it'll be via Tik-Tok these days

For me he's an odd one - I can't really get on with the murky self-pity slow jams he has a fondness for, but when he switches his setting to Pop Bangers he's in a class of his own.

If you want to get into the weekend listen to his first trilogy. after that he went more commercial (with alot of success). But songs like House of balloons, the knowing, wicked games, the zone, the birds p1 and p2, the fall, same old song are such great songs and catapulted the weeknd into super stardom.

But a weeknd setlist of his bangers would be SUCH a party.
