It's gotta be Thurs the 6th and Sun the 9th right?

Or could it be Thurs, Sep 29th and Sun Oct 2?

Looking at the Thingy, it seems there's never been a Thurs coach sale in Sep.

Wow is it that early every year?

I've only bought a ticket once, in 1985. You could buy them over the counter in record shops.

What a year to get a ticket. Was it your first?

Yea was my first. It was one of the wettest ever, and all I had was a sleeping bag, no tent. I basically lived in the acoustic tent, something you couldn't do these days.

And then in 1986 we had the amazing storm on the Saturday that turned the Cure set into something truly spectacular, esp under the influence of LSD.

Aye that was amazing. Under the influence too. Lloyd Cole and the commotions on before and you could see the storm moving from behind the pyramid with fork lightening on both sides of the stage

Yeah, most only wore trainers or DMs at a push. As you say plenty didn't bring camping gear, planning to kip under the stars or party all night.  They'd never really had a muddy one apparently, so the sight of all these folks with plastic bags on their shoes was quite something.

It's usually the first Sunday in October and it always clashes with the Great Scottish Run later on that morning (which means I'm either on cloud nine and loving life for 13 miles or absolutely pissed off that I never got a ticket).

I reckon it'll be the 2nd October this year.
