The post gig interview with Jo Whiley gave some clues as to why the ELO set fell largely flat.

She asked him what it what was like to play the “greatest festival on Earth” and he pretty much just shrugged his shoulders and said he did it because his manager told him too.

Never going to be a classic when you have zero enthusiasm to be there in the first place.

Indeed, it was just another gig to him and it really showed.

Don't really feel big enough for what is - to all intents and purposes - a 4th headliner.

But get em on El Pointo or West Holts for suresies.

I take your point but surely at some point they run out of options unless they start doing repeat legends?

Besides, Dare sold 6 million copies. Did Lionel Richie really have more well known songs than Human League?

Dare slaps for real....but I don't think they meet the household name criteria. Or at least Phil Oakey doesn't.

They may well run out of options. The pool isn't limitless.

But if Kylie can do it then Robbie Willaims very much can.

If she's willing to take the slot and is still touring solo, Stevie Nicks...

If that happened then Fleetwood Mac would never be an option and they settled for what they could get.

Biggest legend left for me? John Williams.

you can see him every summer in los angeles if you want. Prob the only way until he decides not to perform. He is at The Hollywood Bowl for 3 nights in Sept to celebrate his 90th birthday.

The lowest point for Glastonbury ever: the moment Robbie Williams belts out Rock DJ - probably the worst song in the history of popular music (with the possible exception of Hey Baby by DJ Otzi)!

It's a straight up fact that the worst song ever is Barbie Girl by Aqua.

Closely followed by that new Fontaines DC one.
