kingmonkey1980
Good job it’s not this weekend then! Will have easily dried by Weds as long as it stops by Monday.
briddj
Right then, let's do the old 12Z! THIS WEEKEND Heavy rain for Sunday appears to be setting in now. Is there any way back from this? Low pressure has full control of the UK. And it gets worse, with heavy rain now hitting slap-bang on the site on Monday too. And even worse than that, no drying temperatures. The good news is that the low does retreat on Monday and Tuesday (which is dry). WEDNESDAY - GATES OPEN Dry, with pleasant temps of 15 for 9am. But Wednesday does now have some light rain later in the day. Though max temps are 20. High pressure is improving into the picture. THURSDAY Dry, max temps 19 - still not brilliant for drying the ground. But some good news at last! High pressure is getting more dominant! FRIDAY Dry day and much better temperature wise - at 21 the ground will be drying out really well today. And high pressure is increasingly in control. Could be a warm weekend! SATURDAY Scorchio! Completely dry with highs of 24 degrees. High pressure now absolutely bossing it. SUNDAY More manageable at 20 degrees, and still completely dry. High pressure still in command. SUMMARY It's a very wet weekend and early into next week, with no temperatures to dry the ground before we all arrive. It means it would be a bit of a squelchy start but we should all be in trainers by later on Friday and definitely on Saturday. So is it a good or bad update? Mixed, for sure. Something for everyone in this one! Edited June 14, 2022 by briddj

They also have their “don’t forget to bring plenty of water and factor 50” in their back pocket too. They’ll probably need to send both. On the same day. Billy Corgans hair
There's no way that much rain will fall. If it does I'll buy all the " I hope it's 7°c" dweebs an ice cream on the Saturday

mikegday
Im optimistic the site will be fine! Wouldn’t it need to be raining day after day from here on in for problems to occur? The ground will soak up a good one off pour down no prob!

Glastonlocal
Sounds fine to me. A few people could do with taking some deep breaths and having a cider.
jparx
I’m so confident of this it’s ridiculous. Site will dry up enough by gates opening and then it’ll be dry with low-mid 20s for the festival itself. Easy.

I posted the rainfall amounts from 2016 a few pages back. Sunday-Tuesday is basically going to bring about the same, if not more, rain than in 2016, and with less drying time. Ozanne
Is this like we had in 2016? Torrential rain the weekend before and the site was just mud for the entire festival?

JoeyT
Chances of avoiding a big deluge over the weekend are dwindling. Still all to play for Mon onwards though.

Fred Zepplin
I don’t care if it’s muddy and I’ve got a pram and 2 kids to push. Just don’t want it to be raining much whilst we are there.

Hopefully that will make the difference but ever since 2016 I’ve thought that lots of the rain in the build up is not a ideal.
