Hoping Lynks gets added somewhere. Really good fun live too. As people have said new English Teacher and Bodega are good. Fingers crossed for all three.
  3. Wish he was top on Saturday, ah well!

    2024 New Music

    I’m enjoying this one too.
  5. Paid and ready to go for the 13th time. I've not said this before and I'll still be trying for '25 tickets in October but it might be my last - we'll see. The size of it these days makes me think I CBA so much. There's a lot to be said for some smaller festivals.
  6. Nothing really but it's helped me rule a few out 😄 There's plenty I like so far anyway.
  7. If all those days are true Sunday is looking pretty weak for me and clashes all over Friday and Saturday 😧. No Saturday headliner for me yet.
  8. The Pyramid will be pretty similar to usual I expect, though it might be a bit quieter for SZA. Lots of people congragate and sit there all day whatever is on stage. I mean, Texas were there last year. It's nice to see it move slightly away from MOR this year if anything.
  9. I'm not really dissapointed. For people that have been before, which is most on here I can't imagine that the lack of an Elton John / Macca / Rolling Stones / Taylor Swift detracts that much? If there is one, there's usually one act in the whole line-up of that stature, amongst the thousands of other things on offer. The hype surrounding one of those acts has no bearing on my enjoyment of the festival. The weather on the other hand...
  10. I was at this too but stood up on the balcony. I couldn't hear the talkers from there but for the band to hear it must have been pretty bad, and for anyone stood by them. I half expect it at gigs these days - so many idiots about.
  11. The line up poster this year has more on it for me than the line-up poster last year. Though to be fair there's also pobably more names on this year's one.

    2024 Headliners

Yeah, I'm dissapointed those two aren't there.
  13. Haha, oh yeah. I meant Dua Lipa. No idea why I wrote that 😄
  14. Depends on clashes and I know some of these aren't possible but... Must see: Idles, Little Simz, LCD Soundsystem, Squid, Noname, This is The Kit, Baxter Dury, Yard Act, Confidence Man, Fat White Family Like to see: Fontaines DC, Danny Brown, Michael Kiwanuka, Avril Lavigne, Sugababes, PJ Harvey, Hi Vis, The National, Sleaford Mods, Jamie XX Maybe: Most of the others to some extent! No: Lana Del Rey, Seventeen, the bottom line of the pyramid poster, The Mary Wallopers, Peggy Gou
  15. It just says that you don't listen to Radio 1 / commerical radio. If you listen to 6music you're not going to hear her. I couldn't name a song and when I listened on Spotify I didn't recognise any. To me she hasn't transcended past that where I would know songs or have heard something from her say as Bille Eilish had. Not denying she's massive - she probably is but she's not an iconic star to me. Not that it would have any influence if I watched her.
  16. The weather makes it. If it’s dry it’s so much better than muddy. I’m nowhere as bothered about the line up compared to the weather.
  17. Got to admit, I'm a bit dissapointed to seeing so many landfill bands in such prominent slots. Would add The Streets to that list and Bloc Party if not doing Silent Alarm in full. I can't recall previous line-ups being that way and it feels a bit like a 00's timewarp. I wouldn't mind so much if it were good bands of that time or they've not played together in 20 years but these could have been seen anytime at your local academy or under.

    Peggy Gou, Who?

Not heard the name before. A quick listen on Spotify - I know at least three of the tracks well but remain indifferent to this one. They can't have grabbed me to investigate any further when I first heard them. 🙂 Still without a Saturday headliner so far!
  19. Yeah, apparently BC Camplight self-confirmed that he'd be on The Park. Good news. Someone said James had self-confirmed too.
  20. It definitely sounds like that's what's happened with Madonna and Stevie Wonder not working out. Stevie Wonder was always a strange one anyway I thought. I was there last time and it was amazing but I didn't see the point of repeating it.
  21. One man's meat is another man's poison 🙂 I think they're a great live band and if there's less people in the field because they're not big enough to headline that stage then all the better for me personally. I can get nearer the front, or to the toilet easier etc.
  22. Sugababes looks like an obvious overcrowding candidate to me. Maybe Jamie XX. SZA might be fairly quiet.
  23. People seem to expect superstars headline the pyramid each year. Not / can’t happen. Apart from Taylor Swift and Madonna who else realistically is there that hasn’t done it before? if people are that hung up on who’s headlining the two main stages hopefully it will scare some people off for tickets next time. I usually count anything I want to see there as a bonus. I can’t really be arsed with the massive crowds there anyway.
  24. Pretty happy with that. Loads of good stuff there. Not so good for Pyrmaid campers and ‘this in the best evvvaaaa’ instagram crowd so I can see why some people are unhappy with it 😜
