2022 Headliners

I don't think they're likely but if they were offered a Pyramid headline slot, I think they'd take it regardless of the money. It's when people suggest they take the lower money for the lower slot where it's hard to see.

When looking at headliners that would satisfy any 'rock band/singer' quota, of the ones that are free and willing, it wouldn't raise too many eyebrows to see them given it.

They’d certainly smash the gaff up.

Highly likely to mean nothing, but there is a picture going round of Kendrick hanging out with Kanye and his girlfriend (I don't know her name, sorry)

Could mean they're working together, could just be friends spending time together

Its Super Bowl time and everyones out and about in LA right now. It shouldve been the Grammys  this past weekeknd so then you def wouldve seen alot more people doing this or that.

Dua doing a livestream tomorrow here in LA for a beverage company. Its free to watch if youre a night owl.

Unless there’s another picture circulating than the one I’ve seen doing the rounds, that’s not Kendrick - it’s Fivio Foreign who was featured on Off the Grid and probably Donda 2 as well:

Ah I didn't know, that is the one I meant. I saw it on Kanye's sub and the OP said it was Kendrick. I honestly wouldn't know who Kendrick was if he broke into my flat so my bad 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just seen this, what do we think will be announced?

I reckon we get a big-ish name. Probably not a headliner but maybe a name to do a big pop set?

Fuck it, let's just say it's a Harry announcement.

Cause at this point its just a tired thing to even talk about. Every year is a Strokes year and its never happened. Once you stop hoping for it, thats when it might materialize.

Saw them headline Electric picnic a few years back and was very disappointed  under an hour and struggled to hold my attention for that long.

The Strokes aren't going to be able to pull off a headline performance in front of 80k people.

2 or 3 decent tunes on the first album and this is kind of the best the've managed since. Weak mid tempo indie.

This is in encore song. *insert Partridge shrug*

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
