  1. Something to be wary of - some artists have already withdrawn and others I hear will follow because of objection to Barclays sponsorship and links to funding weapons for Israel. Similar to what happened at SXSW.
  2. No, and I clearly used more than one metric in my post. Though I perhaps might have clarified they play much smaller venues than previous *Far Out* headliners
  3. Are Osees a Far Out headliner? They're great don't get me wrong, but they are playing much smaller venues than last year's headliners and are miles behind the Spotify monthly listens of Slowdive and Young Fathers (although a bit ahead of GOAT).
  4. Their e-mail last week said new names would be announced this month - "a bunch of the freshest new acts on the scene". Perhaps they will come sooner rather than later.
  5. Slowdive last year are the biggest, surely? Young Fathers are also bigger than EITS, and arguably a bigger draw than JAMC at the current time.
  6. Getdown Services were fun, but I think they're one where the joke will wear thin a second time. A bit like Goldie Lookin' Chain. BIG SPECIAL I saw as a support in a tiny venue and were excellent. They've already progressed to playing the Forum in London. Could be a busy one if on a small stage. Opus Kink I also saw somewhere small a couple of years back and were decent enough. Were hyped up but don't seem to have taken off.
  7. Whether you like their music or not, Lambrini Girls will be chaotic and a highlight of the weekend.
  8. The full line-up and headliners for this were announced today, very decent. https://www.brightenthecorners.co.uk/festival
  9. Jon Hopkins headlined the second stage at Latitude a few years back and was very good. I’ve no doubt he would still be excellent, although objectively on paper he is a weak main stage headliner. On the subject of Latitude, in 2019 they had Underworld close the main stage and billed top but the actual headliner was Stereophonics before them. This year Keane were presented as headliner but are actually subbing for London Grammar. I appreciate GM and Latitude are not the same, but it shows the standard billing model isn’t the only way.
  10. Underwhelming headliners (although would see all of them) but that’s a ridiculously strong undercard
  11. Salisbury Plain…probably the most plausible of those that have done it
  12. Does The Smile being at Lowlands make them more or less likely to do GM?
  13. I agree Pixies is less likely with the Trondheim date on Saturday but its not out the question. The only direct flight to the UK gets into Gatwick at 9:50am so gives more than enough time to get across. Indirect options to Cardiff or Birmingham won't work for them.
