I’ll be a bit disappointed if after saying they’re going to throw everything they’ve got at 2022, any of the following headline the Pyramid:

The 1975
Arctic Monkeys
Coldplay
Foals
Muse
Radiohead

That’s right, Radiohead! Try and vote me down - you can’t!!! *maniacal laughter*

What happened to the upvote/down vote etc stuff, did I miss something?

Why can’t we have nice things?

As the guy with the most imaginary internet points to lose from the move, I'm totally for it.

Everyone should have the chance to talk on a level platform without fear of downvotes, just as people shouldn't alter themselves to fit in and attract upvotes.

Could backfire though; comments may get rather more confrontational knowing there’s no retribution! As you know!

And that’s what we are getting on the forum today ... making it not the place I’ve enjoyed for the last 10 years ... hopefully we revert or it settles down ...

So what was the beef exactly?

Cant help but feel I’ve missed something here.

if r+l dont get him, i hope glasto do - he smashed it

It was good, obviously if you are a fan you'll like it more so. For me, I think 2017 and 2020 were the two best I've seen though but that's personal choice. But then Jacko back in 1993 I could say too.

It just doesn't feel the same without a -22,567 rating next to your profile 😄

Upvotes are neither here nor there for that. We all know full well the usual suspects that would be approving them anyway.

I feel like I need to upvote them now .... despite ...... here we go ..... wait for it ...... never .....have I watched a full episode of the simpsons ....

But some confrontation can be good! I mean obviously we shouldn't be dickheads, but we should be aiming to have  polite, entertaining and productive discussions... not trying to score internet points. If you're not careful, you'll all end up like this

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
