Merry Christmas guys! What an absolute shitter of a year. Hopefully things can only get better.

In much the same way I rely on this place to get me from one Glastonbury to the next, this forum has kept me going through some dark times in 2020. Having a group of people to discuss all this shite with and watch the press conferences and argue about bollocks has somehow made it a lot easier. Cheers all.

    • I don’t think the festival automatically β€˜need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend. Β  One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a β€˜safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if BeyoncΓ© is really planning to release a β€˜rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to β€˜kick off’ that campaign for her. Β  And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday eveningΒ  4. ApartmentΒ  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
